When I went to public school, I did not know the political affiliation of even a single teacher. I can remember a few times when it even came up, and those teachers said "it's not appropriate for me to discuss my personal politics with students, but we can talk about any historic political movements that you want" (paraphrasing).
It's bad enough that schools are infested with rabid leftist activist techers, but even worse that said teachers feel compelled to indoctrinate and radicalize their students. They simply cannot keep it to themselves, it truly is a mind virus that has developed an extraordinary means of proliferation!
It's really an excuse to have a shish-kebab barby somewhere.
In the Netherlands it's May 5, and it coincides with a "We won't forget" remembering WW2 atmosphere, as well as Royalists waving orange banners. Long Live the King/Queen.
And really an excuse for all to stand around and be seen for a sunny minute.
"Our public schools are nothing more than taxpayer funded indoctrination camps controlled by Teachers Unions."
Well... YEAH! Way to sum it up.
If you have kids in PUBLIC schools, you really want to push for legislation in YOUR state.
The Texas Education Freedom Accounts (TEFA) program, created by Senate Bill 2 in 2025 and launching for the 2026-2027 school year, allows parents to directly manage state-funded Education Savings Accounts (ESAs) for private school tuition, homeschooling, or tutoring. Eligible families receive $10,000-$12,000 annually of state public funding to cover approved educational expenses, with up to $30,000 for students with disabilities and $2,000 for home schoolers.
So far in 2026, 274,000 applied for the program. 42,000 Tier 1 students were already awarded school vouchers for the education of their choice.
The Tier 2 lottery begins this week, with 72,927 Tier 2 students awaiting the lottery, awards, or placement on a wait list.
There are also 66,119 Tier 3 students and 66,950 Tier 4 students awaiting lottery and wait listing.
Tier 1 (Highest Priority): Children with a qualifying disability (under Texas Education Code Sec. 29.003) in a household with income at or below 500% of the Federal Poverty Level (FPL).
Tier 2 (High Priority): Children from households with income at or below 200% of the FPL, regardless of disability status.
Tier 3 (Moderate Priority): Children from households with income between 200% and 500% of the FPL.
Tier 4 (Lowest Priority): Families above 500% of the FPL. This group is capped at 20% of total program funds and prioritizes public school.
With this funding, the parents and child can attend the PRIVATE school they wish, and there are plenty of good private schools that would LOVE to receive $10,000+ per year to educate that child.
The Texas Education Freedom Accounts (TEFA) program, created by SB 2 in 2025, has a $1 billion budget for its initial 2026-2027 launch, aiming to fund roughly 90,000 to 100,000 students.
Based on the level of response, the program may need to be doubled next year.
Commies gonna commie. What would one expect from those who emerge from university indoctrination with nothing more than a massive debt and a teaching certificate? These dopes teaching in public schools are “true believers” because they think socialism will reward them. I almost hope to live to see them get their blindfold and cigarette. I doubt they’ll even get those. Ironically, it’ll be the children they schooled pulling the triggers, “for the good of all”.
That's what was at the side of the road just before the bridge tonight. If I had known it was an honest to goodness communist get together, I may have reacted instead of ignored.
My son just started online classes. We pulled him last week. My daughter wants to finish this year in school and home school next. Fuck these teachers.
McCarthy was right and didn’t go far enough

May Day is an ancient occult/pagan holiday. That's the real reason communists celebrate it.

In Mexico it celebrates the defeat of Napoleonic Emperor Maximillian. An unlikely despot to say the least.
The movie “Juarez” is a true classic well worth viewing. Make a point of it this Cinco de Mayo.

Get rid of these Communist Propagating Blow Hards
The common sense parents need to gather and start their class action lawsuit against their school district..

No child should ever go to public school again.
Pull your students from public school and make whatever arrangements you need to make to get them educated privately.
My son just started online classes. We pulled him last week. My daughter wants to finish this year in school and home school next. Fuck these teachers.
Amen.
I thought getting rid of the ED was the plan? What is taking so long? De-fund, lock the doors, throw away the keys.
