JUST IMAGINE all those ragheads turning too each other, "you didn't do it right", or the commander, those missiles did not go off as expected...FIRING SQUAD, 0600 HRS TOMORROW!!!! OOOOOOH MYYYYY...HOW DELICIOUS THIS IS!!!!!
Every one of those missiles should have had 10 returned to the exact spot they were launched from. Their launchers should have been totally obliterated.
Probably did. The equivalent of kamikaze tactics by either complete zealots or poor conscripts with commissars standing behind them with guns in their hands.
A saturation attack. They were figuring the raid would either outnumber the defense response or at least have a few leakers. Wrong bet. Very impressive. The defenders had deep pockets, and now we know at least how deep.
So what? We are far richer as a nation and a defense force than they are with their crummy missiles. A pistol and its ammo are far more expensive than bare knuckles---but do we go without?
Doing without an expensive defense is a false economy. In the SDI years, we had estimated the cost of an orbital defense layer (90% effective) to be in the neighborhood of $ 50 billion (1980 dollars). Someone objected that would be too expensive to build. I replied that the alternative would be to rebuild New York city, Chicago, Washington DC, and other major cities destroyed as a result of a strategic nuclear attack.
World War one hundred and eleven.
Could you imagine how disheartening that would be... to fire 111 of ANYTHING at a target... and have every single one intercepted?
That's a morale destroyer.

An MLB player who goes 0-111 would not be a MLB player anymore unless they were a pitcher.
Just as long as it's not a destroyer destroyer

They did exactly that while Epic Fury was hot, I see no reason they would quit now. We still command the skies there.

We do have the best military in the world. Everyone on duty that day deserves a special medal for bad ass action under fire without cracking.
I love to wake up to a yard full of dew. I feel completely impervious to a bad mood when I see lots of dew.
Their 111 missiles were much cheaper than our counter attack though

Don't mess with the best!
