The only source of electricity that is profitable...is streaming it. From nuclear power.
Storing electricity is too dang expensive. Hydrocarbons are preformed storage. The energy is stored in the hydrogen- carbon chemical bond. There's no comparison whatsoever to the scientifically literate.
The battery scam has run as long as it has because Fed.gov participated in it funding various schemes to try to get around this scientific reality
There are other ways to store energy. Pumping water to higher elevations during times of excess energy, and then letting the water fall through pipelines into turbines to generate electricity during peak demand is one of the best ways to store energy.
The "Pro carbon," "Pro electric" battle is 100% controlled opposition. Both have merit. Both have cons.
As a distributed infrastructure (individual property), you can have perpetual free of both types (gas and electric). As a world wide infrastructure, you can have perpetual free electricity, not so much gas, but gas can be very cheap and it is convenient in many situations so it still should be a part of the infrastructure.
The "anti-carbon" propaganda is mostly bullshit, but it's not 100% bullshit. Some of the systems that are bad don't have to be bad: they are mostly related to pollution. And of course the "carbon-tax" or "climate change" crap is utter nonsense, but that's a different issue; an intentional bullshit to drive division having nothing to do with actual energy issues.
But the "anti-electric" propaganda, like we have here, is also complete bullshit. The propaganda that shows "all the math" or "problems," like this crap is by design, controlled opposition. We could have 100% perpetual perfect, clean, electricity. We choose not to. It is that choice that we (the Oligarchy) make that makes it bad. Purely so they can push the division, keeping us ALL from the truth.
I read an article once on how power stations could use massive (and I mean massive) spinning cylinders to store energy. Seemed within our engineering capabilities but it required room temp. super conductors to really make it work efficiently.
To make 1 large windmill / wind farm generator, it takes roughly 40,000 barrels of oil to make. The cost of money to make one wind generator will never be recovered in electricity sales over the life span of said generator. And most wind generators, at best can last 20 years, but find their way to landfills after 10.

That's why Norway has it made. They have a country full of waterfalls.

They need some of that Admiral Byrd Antarcticoal...enough energy for hundreds of years... just laying there

Giant flywheels with huge mass. They can store energy in the spinning of the mass, and then when the energy is needed, the generator is engaged.

See the giant flywheels above, which may have the same issues.
thx, gonna put a bumper sticker on my gas guzzler that says Saving the Planet from Climate Change!
1 battery could power 80% of a time traveling DeLorean
The Tesla turbine has great generating potentials just using geo thermal outlets still today. Among other uses.
