DON'T pick a fight with a group of Marines in uniform.
Especially DON'T pick a fight with a group of Marines in their Dress Blues.
Austin is known as a liberal hot bed in TX. It's easy to figure out why a group of Marines decided to wear their Dress Blues while out in town for the night.
I'm not saying they were necessarily spoiling for a fight, but I dont know any Marine or Sailor that would shy away from one if the opportunity presents itself.
There used to be a time when civvies mostly left us alone because they knew they'd get get their shit stomped in if they fucked with us like that. I'm glad to see these young Marines are upholding the example of "what not to do."
BRAVO ZULU, Marines!
Edit:
I did some research and found that this is from Nov 2023, right around the time of the USMC's Birthday festivities. Apparently, a woman swiped a phone out of the hands of another woman, a Marine steps in to set things right between them, and then an idiot civilian dindu takes offense. That's when things quickly escalate.
Video footage from 6th Street in Austin, Texas shows a group of civilians attempting to start a physical confrontation with what appears to be an entire platoon of U.S. Marines. The outcome was as predictable as it was swift — the Marines decisively handled the situation, with multiple attackers ending up on the ground within seconds.
The incident highlights the spectacularly poor decision-making of choosing to engage trained military personnel in hand-to-hand combat on a public street. 6th Street in Austin is a popular nightlife district known for bars and clubs, making it unclear what prompted the confrontation, but the result was never in doubt. The video has garnered significant engagement online, with thousands celebrating the Marines' decisive response.
This is an old video. Not that that matters to the point, but this is old. So many old videos are being passed around on x.com and they are never identified as old. I suppose there are plenty of people who never saw them the first time around.
I literally just learned, 12 hours ago, that 6th Street is Austin's famous "scene street" going back to at least the 80s. Then this. Its weird when knowledge comes at you like that. 🤷♂️
OOO-FUCKING-RRRAAAAHHHHH!!!!!! OUT-FUCKING-STANDING MARINES!!!!

Can you imagine the amount of testicular fortitude that our soldiers have under this administration?

I’ve stopped asking how stupid can people be. I really don’t want to know.
Usual suspects.
Rassisst. Kek
You have to get 20 miles outside of Austin (Liberal He!! Hole) before you are back in Texas! 🤬

Or to gin up people again to keep them riled.
Can never think we can get along, then they lose all power.
Good point.
From 2023.
As soon as I saw Sixth Street mentioned, I just knew….its like Mogadishu there now.

Great 2023 video.
As a proud American I can say, don't mess with our soldiers, ever.
FAFO on steroids.
When I went to 6th street in the early to mid 80's. I never saw a single fight. I always had a blast.
It is a shame 6th street requires so many cops now.
