I believe that California’s Democrats are going to start crossing party line and vote Republican. They will keep their party designation while voting Republican in the general election to send a message (They signaled this by 👉🏻the voter ID initiative qualified for the November 3, 2026 ballot in California. It will require voters to show proof of citizenship and a government-issued ID when voting.) this would have never passed if both parties didn’t want it.
Once the CRAZY dumocrats get voted out of office (over a couple of election cycles) IMHO, CA Dems will become more moderate and hopefully be the Blueprint for the rest of the nations Sanctuary Cities making the Republic whole again.
I think of nations and states in terms of "triage"... a medical term for separating patients into three categories... those that can be saved only if given immediate attention, those that can be saved but deferred until others have been saved, and those whose injuries are so severe that they cannot be saved and are given sedatives so their final hours are pain free.
IMHO, Haiti and the Congo fall into that last category, and so does California. So sorry that the last few decades of self-inflicted injury has led to this, but at this point there's nothing we in the rest of the country can do to save it.
