I've got kids that are Millennials and one that is Gen-Z.
Every one of them is smart as a whip. None has any problems with math logic, verbal reasoning or problem solving.
Parenting is 90% of success. The other 10% is the school system, the child's surroundings and friends, other parents, the neighborhood, the community itself... but 90% is parenting.
Parenting also doesn't start at age 8 or 12... and it isn't something you can do once in a while.
...and "taught" them. Today's teachers are the worst.
And if that's the case, then it isn't really a critique on gen zs parents, but their grandparents. And so it goes...

Let's not forget that before everyone had a cell phone, tablet, and computer, they had televisions. The modern era is just the TV era with an input. Watching TV was purely output into your mind, while cell phones and computers have both output and input. Videogames play a role as well.
Before social media, we spent hours a day watching TV. So that right there is most likely the beginning of the trend
The truth of the matter is society is being dumbed down generation by generation through the methods we all know and see.
All invention meant to help always lead to choosing convenience over effort, which leads to apathy and atrophy.
And add: All teachers have basically been co-opted by a marxist curriculum so much so that the curriculum is not only "taught" by them, but actively pushed onto the children who then go out into the real world and do the same. Then they have children, and guess what?
Begin the cycle again!

Sadly, no one is talking about the 800lb gorilla in the room. In 1986 the childhood vaxxine schedule was exponentially ramped up. The Gen Z cohort in particular has had their mental and cognitive capacities destroyed from neurotoxic vaxxines accelerated by a digital environment.
I agree with this as this could be a big factor in contributing to the decline.

Have you seen the mind numbing commercials on YT. The purge of Evil can't come soon enough.
A lot of the ads online are offensive and insulting, like a commercial version of "potty talk". I avoid venues where those are prevalent, or simply cover the right had side of my screen with a handy index card.
Wait. Doesn't every generation get sold the same story of "next generation not smart like us" meanwhile humans are getting wayyyyyy tf smarter and the kids are learning calculus????
