This isn't like flying an aircraft where a great deal of knowledge is required. It's pretty much a 3-step preparation process -- (1) Attach the cord to the jumper (2) Attach the other end of the cord securely to the anchor (bridge, other secure mechanism) and (3) Double-check both ends of the cord.

RIP indeed. As you know, everything you do flying a plane has a checklist. You must never memorize the checklist, but check off critical items form an actually list.
Attaching the strap is pretty damn critical. Seems like they would be required to follow some kind of check list. That would definitly be on my list of things to see with my own eyes, if I ever bungie jumped.
