He's obviously in no condition to be senate minority leader and should be replaced now and not wait until January. No one voted for his handlers/staffers to be making decisions for him.

If Cocaine Mitch does die it won't help the republicans anyway. It would require a special election and possibly even a runoff - which could take months. A new senator will be elected in November and seated in January regardless since Mitch is falling down - oops, I meant stepping down.
Losing a no vote doesn't generate a yes vote - Collins gave the yes vote (but at what cost?) to get to 50. If we lost all 4 of the no votes it still wouldn't help us, but it would hurt us since the majority would flip to the dumocrats.
