In the UK you must report any crime to the police ASAP and get a crime report number, otherwise it never happened. Apparently the woman has no crime number and the police have no record of her report. Consequently, and by logical deduction, her post on Fakebook was a lie. So it's not "beyond comprehension".
The problem is that many women are embarrassed to report a rape but later become angry and hit social media with it. With consequences. In other countries you can post lies (or unproven allegations) without consequences but not in the UK, thanks to Kweir Stammer.
