What is left unsaid, is the bar scene, where vigilante citizen protects 2 girls, hoping to have a good time that night .... he misdirects the two would be rapists and switches the drinks. After their return, they get a shot of their own poison.
No violence, just common sense and looking out for each other.
And there is also a message to those in the cult of all evil: those under orders: your choice, as a police officer, or as a soldier, is: will you act according to your order, or stand for what truly matters .... The moment the police went after the vigilante citizen, was the moment they choose poorly.
A system -> order based on priority (what is causing political pressure) -> causing an out of whack response. protocols are followed.
I'd like to point out that in the EU, national security is tied to control of masses and by pushing for what they feel is desirable. If they cannot control it by speech, they will control it by force, as their own survival depends on it.
If, for instance, in the Netherlands, official reports (state commission on the rule of law) concludes: "the broken promise of the rule of law) and that ministers admit publicly, they have no responsibility anymore, as decisions are prescribed by security services, then are you really serving your people, your rights, and the rule of it? Or are you just acting as a pawn in a pernicious game?
So, the question then becomes: with whom do you stand?
The production quality is embarrassingly low, and the protagonist is a genuinely terrible person who is terribly written, but it’s nice to see someone on screen do what we all want to see people in Europe finally stand up and do and for that, I liked it.
I dont know about EMBARASSINGLY low…there was some decent cinematography at certain points in the film…but yeah definitely not the level of a mainstream film for sure. My biggest issue is the archor lady who was awful and sounds like shes whisper talking the news but also spelling out the questions the audience should be asking instead of letting the audience ponder the questions on their own. I also wish there was more suspense created on if he was going to get caught and how he could get out of a sticky situation…it felt very very boring and it could have been thrilling
It‘s important to know that the vigilante is definetely not a hero, but a psycho, but IMO that doesn‘t dilute the message of the movie, which is well explained in the article.
I think in the context of this movie, both can be true. He definitely was a hero to the girls in the bar. And he did extract real justice for the rape victim. I did not like seeing him kill all the police when he had a perfectly good escape route.
Yeah, the SWAT scene was pretty bad and also a plot-hole. And the narrative pace… and „making a point“ by playing chicken with that car…
Ah well, it‘s a Boll movie after all.
But I have to admit, it does quite a few things right to transport the important message, and that‘s why they‘ve beem trying to censor the movie so hard. It‘s glorious how hard that backfired. 😂
What might actually happen in the end is people will invade Iran and take it over. The Iran people who have come to Western Worlds are invading and they are also being paid tax money and getting more benefits the Western Citizens for a long time now.
Not just Iran, the Eastern Worlds.
The shield of proclaiming if that happens God will end this will not work for much longer. Not saying God will not end anything. This is His decision. I am saying if God does not end it the shield and sword the East always try to use against Westerners will have no value.
