A lot of the "filler shells" cost between $2 and $5 each. The small to medium shells are $10 to $50 each. Large shells are between $50 to $200 each. The really big specialty shells can cost from $250 to $1,000 each. These are all bulk prices.
Keep in mind that fireworks displays consist of Fillers and Thrillers. If the average shell fired is $10 (which is likely as display is 90%+ filler, <10% thriller) the 860,000 shell display would be $8,600,000.
what ever the cost at least we got to watch our money go up in smoke and enjoy it instead of lining the pockets of the corrupt politicians........great show.....
When I was a kid, I was able to attend the 1976 Bicentennial fireworks. It was absolutely incredible. And this was probably absolutely, positively, amazingly incredible.
