What I am hearing from my old contacts in Beijing is they too are in the middle of a "quiet" revolution whereby two silos of power are colliding. One is cooperating with Trump and the other is the hard-liners in the Communist Party.
They told me this play by Trump exposing China is the fuel they needed to expose the Communist Regime in China and boost the revelolution to kick the regime out of power. Hong Kong and Taiwan are both on the "White Hat" side.

I can't remember if it was the lead up to the big attack on Iran or shortly after, but I saw some posts stating that there are rumors of a coup of sorts in China that was squashed.
I'd bet that coup, if true, was attempted by communist hardliners. While China has whined to the media about the Iran War, they really haven't done anything significant in retaliation from what I can tell. I find that odd.
