I just wanted to formally introduce myself. I've been coming here off and on for the past few years, but I was always just a lurker. I decided to finally pull the trigger and create an account after I read something about living wages for Americans when doing farm work, and is something that has really affected my family and I just felt the need to add my two cents.
I really appreciate all the people who make the effort to write posts for all of us and all the great conversations y'all have.
I don't spend much time on the computer and don't think I'll ever make many comments here, but I wanted to say hi and take the opportunity to thank everyone for the info all these years.
I like your username. Is it from the tv series Burn Notice? Welcome, I lurked for about six months before making an account. That was 2020, can’t believe it’s been six years. That’s a very short time compared to many here. I still lurk occasionally. I’m busy and don’t have the time I used to have.

I couldn't think of a handle, and an episode was playing when I was trying to think of something and it made me think about how so many black hats are going to be exposed when the storm arrives, and they're going to be burned publicly. Mike Lindell is getting bad advice, I guess. He was being interviewed and basically said in Minnesota, illegals should get a 6 month grace period to start the paperwork to get at least a temporary visa to work. I don't know what it is with these Republicans and why they seem to destroy their own campaigns. 😠🤬

I’ve heard (not sure where) Branson is a big cartel or mofia run area. Ozark tv series is about the cartel in the area. I’m not doubting the Hilary connection just mentioning this could be related or the house could have been owned by one of those groups.
Is that right? I don't like MO for some reason (name sounded like Misery), but I didn't know about Branson.
I can’t remember where I heard this. I don’t know if it’s true or not. I’m not 100% sure but I think it was on an instagram post. I read comments on social to understand what everyday people believe in or their opinions. It wasn’t just one comment saying this. It wouldn’t surprise me the bigger little town population, near me is about 55,000. The small town is about 12,000. The larger town is very corrupt with gangs, drugs & the city is run by liberals that have ruined the town. It’s one of the top dangerous places in NC. Seems like the small areas are just as corrupt as the big cities or dem states.
I’ve never been to MO, probably flew over a few times. I haven’t been past TN, except going to Wisconsin early 80s.

It just feels really different. Several times I have been there (not just once), it just feel odd.
I drove all the way from the West Coast to the East Coast. I did not go through all the states, but go through quite a few. I also live right close by Missouri because I am in Arkansas right close by Texas.
I’ve been to Texas and only saw a small portion, it’s so big. I drove from Dallas to Fort Worth then to Amarillo then Palo Duro Canyon. Drove that entire stretch to Dallas in one day. That’s like going from the NC coast to the mountains, maybe further. I loved Texas, I’m hearing Austin and Houston are really bad now. We originally flew into San Antonio. That’s as far west I’ve been other than flying to Hawaii. Changed flights in Phoenix. We want to go out west and see the Grand Canyon. Our country is so big it will take a lifetime to visit it all unless you don’t have responsibilities. I went through Arkansas a few miles driving from Mississippi to Tennessee. My family has been around a lot going to concerts but we didn’t have time to explore. I guess all the big cities/areas are being taken over by gangs and illegals. It’s a shame our country has gotten like this. It will take a long to recover. It’s really a shame. I’d love to have the time to drive from NC to all over the west. My grandparents drove out west for several weeks. Papa got tired of driving and my mom & brother flew out to drive them back home. If it’s meant to be I’ll explore out of the south. If not I’m happy where I am.
I would not want to visit the west coast right now. It's bad. Leftish blue states are very bad now.
Thanks for the tip. I don’t want to go to any big city. I think Charleston SC is ok because it’s a big tourist town. NC big cities have been taken over. Raleigh Durham area is ok if you stay out of the bad areas. I go there shopping a few times a year. It has better stores like TJ Maxx. NC is basically a liberal state with pockets of conservatives.

I watch lots of nature show.
I used to watch a lot nature shows in the 90s. Now I watch a lot of history and church videos on YouTube. We have black bears in my area. I’ve never seen one. In the 90s there were bear tracks from the woods behind my house to the other side of the road. It’s about an acre. 20 plus acres behind my house is old sand pit and fire lanes. Papa bought it in the 70s to keep people from building up close. It’s not worth anything other than a barrier and hunting. We see bears on the trail cameras a lot, Coyotes also. I hope I never see either in person. The land is in my brother’s and my name. When my dad dies we will most likely buy his half. Hunting is pretty big in my area. We have a lot of white tail deer. My husband and daughter hunt deer and turkey.
Nature shows God's awesome power. I have about 3 acres right now. Lots of deer. Once a while I see fox and raccoon. I have 2 dogs (big ones) so the deer don't come in. Squirrels and lots of birds would be her eating. It's awesome to bird watch.
I'm glad he was able to get down safely and live happily ever after! That's something you don't see every day though LOL.

The developing human brain learns language at a remarkably accelerated rate starting at about one year old. But even at six months, baby brains begin to log basic language foundations. After several months, when toddlers have acquired language fundamentals, the brain soon transitions out of its language acquisition mode. Research continues to unravel the intricate causes of this miraculously wrought language learning time window.
During primary language acquisition, infants quickly learn how to form the right sounds of their native language using the complicated mixtures of throat, lip, tongue, and diaphragm muscles. They also rapidly learn the basic units of their language, like the structure of words, suffixes, and tones. Simultaneously, they acquire the grammatical rules that govern sentence structure, like where adjectives are placed in relation to nouns.
Not to be forgotten during this remarkable time is an infant's rapid identification of what the sounds and structure of a language actually mean—the realities to which a language's sound symbols actually refer. Children at this age learn from 10 to 15 new words each day and infer the vast majority of word meanings by automatically analyzing context.1 In short, researchers have discovered that the infant human brain is hardwired to learn language.
A University of Washington study imaged 19 six-month-old brain structures with MRI technology. They measured the concentration of neuron-rich gray matter, comparing it to the concentration of white matter in the babies' whole brains. They discovered "a surprising result."2
In adults, the cerebellum coordinates motor learning as it develops efficient neural pathways to muscle action. Also in adult brains, the hippocampus is a memory processor. Neither is linked to language.
But the study results showed that "infants with a greater concentration of gray and white matter in the cerebellum and the hippocampus showed greater language ability at age 1."2 Use of the cerebellum at this time may show how infants master the coordination for speech so quickly, and using the hippocampus may reflect how they memorize meanings for language sounds. It appears that the structure of baby brains shifts in just the right ways for them to acquire human language.
No animal on earth matches this capacity for expressing abstract ideas, and no animal's brain undergoes such a remarkable shift in multiple, coordinated language learning schemes. This new research shows a glimpse of the Creator's handiwork in equipping people to develop into beings that share His image, by sharing His ability to use language.3
