"Church" is an assembly of believers, no matter where they gathered. That was lost. Most seem to think you must attend a physical place to worship, successfully separating spirituality from daily life. ( how many people sin all week long, but attend church for an hour a week to wash away the sin? )
Spirituality is a very personal journey. What resonates for one person, falls on deaf ears for another.
A organization that thinks they can dictate your journey, your personal conversations with God, pushes fear rather than love - is not likely to be the hand of God.
Think of the religious wars. European history is bloody with kings or queens demanding the population adhere to whatever religion they claimed was the real one. King James went so far as to change the context of the bible just so he could divorce his wife.
People overlook the fact that Bible canons were written by people. Only the commandments were written by God's hand and Moses threw them down in anger and destroyed them. He recreated them from memory. Did he forget some, word them differently? Likely.
And modern bibles are not accurate. They've been interpreted and translated from Latin. On top of that a group came together and decided to throw out a huge number of canons that they deemed inappropriate or unnecessary.
Corruption is being exposed and I think organized churches will be among the corrupt. I also believe people are turning to spirituality and it will be a more pure form, because it will be between the individual and God, without the unnecessary ministrator.
