Careful now, the mods tell us that DEWs don't exist. Can't question the almighty internet moderators, lol. Don't you know that they are the arbiters of truth and acceptable conversation?

Jealousy, 'qinah' in Hebrew or 'zelos' in Greek*, is translated as ardor or zeal. This devotion can be like the careful guard or keeping of something that is yours, as a husband has for his wife, or of God has for his people. It could be ardent passion or anger depending on the situation.

It seems that there was contextual interchangeability with the notion of zeal/zealousness and the notion of envy/jealousness, but that the contextual distinction was a strong one.

Using modern understandings of words and retroactively applying them to texts that were varyingly written and translated again and again over vast periods of time, doesn't always lead to clear communication of what the actual intent was.

I think there are a few issues here. One is that they think the notion held by some that Trump was chosen by God for this moment is us equating Trump to God.

With that concept in mind, I don't necessarily disagree with said poster that one should not worship Trump the man, the figure, the icon, whatever or give praise to golden idols in his name.

They're correct in the response and solution because they're running on a different narrative premise that we are. It's a reasonable response if you think that people are worshipping him as a God.

However, since that isn't the actual premise or world view we're running on, there's bound to be a disconnect in the solution derived from that data.

Another issue is cultural, because outsiders see intentionally hyperbolic humorous statements made in jest and assume them to be purely literal (like the phrase GEOTUS). In the same way you might call your best friend a shitbag as a joke fully understanding the social and cultural construct, and an outsider who knows neither of you, your relationship, or in-jokes and might look in and see one guy bullying and insulting another, and react accordingly.

Their grammar and spelling is atrocious and yes they're fundamentally misunderstanding the premise and drawing incorrect results, but I don't necessarily think that said poster is a bad person.

The cultural divide really incentivizes us getting these cheap "wins", one side laughing at another and saying "haha, look at this fucking idiot!", but unlike other psychos on the internet, based purely on this one post (I have not seen the user's post history) I sincerely believe that this person could have been won over to our side, just because there was an attempt to engage on a Biblical level of values in that the poster didn't like seeing a man treated as a false God.

I'm no stranger to the endorphin buzz you get when you "own" someone, hell, happens far too often for myself. You can look at my post history, I'll cop to that for sure. I can be a right self-righteous prick, so I'm not trying to be hypocritical, just reflective.

I dunno. I just think not all who misunderstand do it out of malice, and the internet owning culture does sometimes make it a little too easy to see people as faceless enemy combatants instead of sheep who have lost their way from the Shepherd.

I hate videos that automate their subtitles.

Gina Carano, not Jenna Carrado

You don't remember the whole Vince Fusca thing?

It isn't appearing in New, Rising, Top or Controversial for me. Strange.

Why do only some posts show up in the feed?

Remember that time Hillary responded to the question "what's your secret, why don't you sweat?" with "You're the first to realize I'm not human, I was created in a garage in Palo Alto".

What Frankenstein labs do they have over there?

Doesn't the Bible specifically advise against prophesying in his name?

Isn't it Scott Adams?

She forgot the word "the". Of all the words in that sentence to forget.

Those hip kids today like to use their emojis, right? That's the key to winning over the (youth?) vote, right?

Worked so well for Warren's Meme Team.

She had it delivered herself. Look at it neatly dumped on the road with a tidy little tarp, easily collectable, to drum up manufactured consent for the War Machine.

Yeah man, it's all controlled narrative deployments. It's all happening on specific timing, which is frustrating.

It's exhausting, and I feel rather than wake people up it just keeps them hooked into the MSM CIA feedback loop.

"WE ARE THE NEWS NOW" seems silly when all we end up doing is reacting to different factions of spooks playing a game of "let's control the masses"

Yeah, but Joe and Kamala weren't popular either. It's not a matter of actually having someone popular or liked, it's a matter of installing them and THEN gaslighting people about how much they're liked.
