the whole AZ audit being hyped and failing to drop the bombshell is pretty sad. Not saying good work didn't come from that, just not what it was hyped to be. Kraken style. I think a big fault of a lot of that is on us, and our desire to see big changes come in one big fell swoop instead of being patient and persistent in the little things.

They are allowed to give "accommodations" (exemptions) for Religious reasons though, if you can prove you are sincere. I have heard of this happening, which is good at least. But now they have a list.
While I despise their cowardice, they do have a point that if they resist they're unlikely to get any new government contracts. A lot of contractors are not union members (for good and bad) and have golden handcuffs with good paying jobs they don't want to give up. If you have strong aspirations in the company also, you may not want to rock the boat and fall out of favor. It's an insidious plan to mandate such things of contractors.
Congrats, I know the feeling of being in an oppressive place for far too long and it's a great feeling to leave it. Each time I've gotten a better job with better pay and benefits. God bless.
