The link goes to 20 hours of playlist. If you want to link to the specific point where this claim is argued, I'll take a look.

"most languages on Earth" are not Indo-European and use a completely different day naming scheme, if they have one at all. This is an obviously ridiculous claim.

This opinion is only binding in the 5th circuit (TX, MS, LA). Other jurisdictions can take the ruling as informative but are not obliged to follow it. However, because this deals with the activity of global social media companies, it's likely to effectively become the de facto standard because Twitter et al. do not want to keep getting sued by Texans and Cajuns.

It only truly becomes national policy if it's appealed to the Supreme Court and they uphold it.

It's cleverly concealed, but if you study the pic very closely you can find a big "CONNECTED" indicator located under the SSID name.

Ah yes, he just randomly found that SSID which requires a private key (lock symbol) and then successfully connected to it.

We must never get into the habit of defining what a good citizen or human is

We can absolutely define what a good citizen or human is- or at least, what a bad one is.

Of course we can't define those things too narrowly. We have to leave room for individual uniqueness. That doesn't mean we can't draw lines, we just have to draw the right ones.

And even then, just drawing the lines doesn't provide guidance for people who are actively looking for specific help and suggestions. We can give people room to be good people in their own personal ways while also offering useful advice for people who are specifically asking for it.

"Ways to be a non-conformist" absolutely does not mean "the only ways to be a non-conformist". OP is not at all gatekeeping, it's suggesting, and asking for more suggestions.

Be an active member of an offline community built around shared values - a church, volunteer organization, fraternal order, gun club, etc. Have a network of people who live close enough to each other to provide meaningful support in a real emergency or disruption.

How many of those 30% are women under 25 though? Being right is cold comfort if there's no breeding stock.

Yes, this order is entirely constitutional. It has no effect except to order Biden's own employees, and to request some other entities, to prepare research and analysis.

What happens when that research is complete may well be unconstitutional, but that does not in any way impair this order.

OK but seriously, what does this accomplish at this point. They've already looked at everything and made copies of whatever they cared about.

We don't need new penalties, we already have common law torts. Let people sue for the actual damages they incur due to false reporting and most of the problem disappears.

It's impossible to create a filter that won't be captured and abused by exactly the people it's supposed to filter. The only solution is to democratize the press and let people judge for themselves who is worth listening to.

What's disinformation about an ugly pregnant woman with a bad haircut?

Failure to pay as agreed- and if they have visible signage indicating that they are cashless then you are considered to have agreed by placing an order- is a breach of contract and they have a claim for damages, which is different from a debt.

2
GodEmperorOfHumility 2 points ago +2 / -0

You're incorrect.

You have to take cash for debts. A counter transaction is not a debt. They can simply refuse to transact.

Firstly, why the fuck are you trying to spend money in Starbucks anyway

Secondly, there'll be no lawsuits, no violation, no legal tender issues. A counter transaction is not a debt. Businesses are not in any way required to accept cash for a transaction. If they offer you a line of credit that's a different story.

Thirdly, the "will of the people" can be expressed by simply not going to fucking Starbucks. See #1.
