Hmmm... Doesn't this leave us with 'every man doing what is right in his own eyes', and an individual with power for enforcing the law taking ungranted power to be the lawmaker himself on a case by case basis? To that end, we have selective prosecution favoring illegals or whichever demographic supports ones political preferences and disfavoring the opposition.

I tend to think the testimony of those who disobeyed the "unlawful" law is more powerful bc they took on the punishment. We each have the power over our own choices (to obey God rather than man in a competition between the two) and the power to endure hardship to the glory of God, through the Spirit. That has more power to convict others to change the law than selectively applying said "unlawful" law. Selective enforcement seems to me to be unjust. I think that may be the case with the midwives. All or none?

Idk, I'm going to have to think through this one some more. Thanks for the feedback :)

I just saw on OANN that this guy was on some interview explaining that he was just upholding the law. Good laws, bad laws, he was supposed to uphold them. He also said he was glad that FL removed those covidiot laws.

What do you think about law enforcement enforcing bad laws?

I saw recently that it was a Bonaparte who created it. Was it really one of those Bonapartes?!

Edit: wiki says he was a grand-nephew of Napoleon. Grandson of Napoleon's brother. Small club, and we ain't in it.

If you're talking about alleged events with people who don't share your beliefs, it helps to find common ground without negating what you hold to be true. Rogan was promoting his belief that the Bible isn't a standard for human behavior (to justify his leftist talking points and preferences, drugs, homosexuality, etc). Ben states he believes in the divine inspiration of scripture, but events in it and certain moral questions can also be explained via natural causes.

It was an easterly wind, and Ben accepts as much bc it is so written (he never said it was "just" anything). He clearly doesnt appreciate naturalistic reading into the text, despite his siding with Maimonidean thought on the question. Rogan doesn't have to immediately accept that God commands the winds in his pursuit of knowledge of whether or not the event even happened.

Right on. I stand with you. Ruth 1:16.

Moses didn't part the Red Sea. God did. Moses obeyed what God told him to do, and God did the heavy lifting. And He commanded the wind to do blow. Shapiro is partially right.

Exodus 14:21 NASB95 — Then Moses stretched out his hand over the sea; and the LORD swept the sea back by a strong east wind all night and turned the sea into dry land, so the waters were divided.

Mel is a nouveau Protestant. Submission to authority only when you agree with them is just self worship with extra steps. Own your pope, Catholics. Or welcome to Protestantism. Lol

When are we supposed to see the aurora? Or will it be visible like at the poles?

Wonder if that has anything to do with our Marines being sent over there repeatedly in the past four years.

Hey buddy! Perhaps you might consider it as "Not Right Now" then. Isn't that what a promise is? Receipt of a gift delayed until later.

Not Right Now:

  1. Addiction - NRN, you must give it up to Me first

  2. Healing - NRN, in the world to come

  3. Patience - NRN, you must learn and grow it through needing it (patience is a fruit of the spirit... Fruit comes after and bc of growth)

  4. Happiness - NRN, you must choose it first

  5. Pain - NRN, suffering conforms you to the image of His Son. It will go away in the world to come when you've reached perfection

  6. Growth - NRN, growth is a process

  7. Things - NRN, seek first the kingdom

  8. Love - God is love. Love God with all your heart, soul, might; serve Him with all your heart and all your soul; walk in all His ways and hold fast to Him. Seek Him will all your heart.

You're entitled to your own feelings, but not your own facts. Rather than reviling, why not be like the Bereans and search the scriptures?

There is no gospel if Jesus is not the Messiah. Jesus can only be Messiah if he fulfills the requirements outlined in the OT. He has not fulfilled them all. So your great hope (and mine) should be that He returns and does so. Faith is trusting that He will and living in light of what is coming. Otherwise, according to Paul, we of all people are most to be pitied for believing a lie.

There's a laundry list of prophecies that any messianic claimant has to fulfill. If Jesus doesn't fulfill them, he's a liar. If any old joker who shows up doing magic tricks can be the Messiah, then there's no reason why you shouldn't be first in line to worship the antichrist. Figure out why you believe what you claim to be true and why it matters.

First of all, I believe Jesus is the Messiah. Secondly, when I say let's play a game, I meant that exactly. If you're setting off into the darkness, you need to top up your lamp with oil. Knowing why you believe what you do is the first step. Conviction is based on information. You're also on GAW. Dig deeper. Isaiah 53 is just the tip of the ice berg, and I doubt it's why you were initially drawn to Jesus. I'm not worried about getting to heaven. Heaven is invading here. I just want to survive to see that lol... Lofty goals.

When I say 'prove it' I just mean present information that supports your truth claim. Proofs, as it were. Evidence. Whether or not a jury (eg. the readers or hearers) find it beyond a reasonable doubt is up to them and the extend God has drawn them. There's always reasonable doubt in a truth claim, but for different people, different levels of evidence suffice for them to accept a truth claim. Check out 1 Peter 3:15. Thanks for engaging. God bless on your journey.

She was doing a good job on her own. Isaiah 53 is a great start. Do you know why?

If you'll notice, I said in the first comment that it was a game - prove it. You don't have to play.

Do you? Not sure why you felt the need to pop into another's conversation, say it's not necessary, and then curse someone out for disagreeing. It's absolutely necessary to justify your beliefs, even if just for yourself. Otherwise, you're just a sheep who knows nothing and is a slave to whatever satisfies your fleshbag.

If you claim to follow Christ, I'd be happier if you matured into a perfect reflection of Him. Me too. To do that, followers need to know why they follow Him, know what He said, and how it applies to them if they intend to obey Him. Don't resent rebuke, learn from it and grow. The rebukes get harder the harder your heart is. Take it for what it's worth. If you're not a follower of Christ, again, this whole conversation doesn't really apply to you and involving yourself is odd.

I've read it many times dear. Did you have a specific point you would like to emphasize? What is it about Isaiah 53 that you think proves (or supports) the claim of Jesus to the Messianic kingship?
