Certainly I can imagine someone hiring a double for themselves, either as a security decoy, or a simple stand-in when not feeling well - but that double would be cooperative and controlled by the 'original'. But in the situation discussed by many on this forum, we are to believe that the 'originals' are locked up / dead, and these 'fakes' are - presumably - put there by the patriots / military to stop the 'normies' from freaking out. So if you go to that level of effort, why would you let them behave just like before; Biden is busy signing EOs just like you'd expect 'real Biden'. And what about his wife Jill; is she in on it? Does she hold hands with a known double / fake? Or is she a double / fake? What then about family / friends ...?
So if we assume it IS true, who is controlling / directing / implementing these 'fakes'? Assuming it's the Military (or groups sympathetic to the Military, anti-DS), then why are those fakes still behaving like the originals? 'Biden' is actively writing EO's to undo Trump's legacy. Hillary is still being Hillary. If you are going to go to the trouble of implementing these fakes, surely you'd control their actions!
Thinking more about it, assume 'current' Biden is a 'fake'. What about his wife Jill? Is she a fake also? If so, that increases the complexity of orchestrating all this by a lot. Their friends / family? Do they know about it? If Jill is NOT a fake, then why would she go along with it?
I'm still confused, despite this helpful explanation. "democracy", at its simplest, means 'the people have a say'. Democracy also generally implies voting. 'who' you vote for is where the differences start to come into play.
In most countries, there is a form of 'representative democracy', where you don't vote directly for a specific policy, but rather, you vote for a 'representative' who is supposed to 'do your bidding'. In the US, you vote for the house and senate members, and the presidency, and you then allow those elected officials to get on with the job of implementing policy; so that's a level of indirection. In the UK, it's similar; you vote for a 'member of parliament', and the elected members form a government.
Now, in California (and other states), they've started doing 'propositions' for everything which one could argue is much more 'direct democracy' - should we have minimum wage? y/n; should we legalize pot? y/n - etc. So that I can see is a trend towards 'direct democracy'.
Where I struggle is, your references to 'real democracy' vs 'republican government'. Where is the 'mob rule'? What part of the constitution is being violated by our current form of (what I would call) representative democracy'?
I understand power loss due to resistance, and that's why the grid operates at very high voltages. But you are saying power can be delivered from Texas to California (sold by Enron) but power cannot traverse the state itself? Some inconsistencies there.
Just how isolated is the Texas 'grid'? I had never heard about Texas' isolation before, but it seems Texas made a conscious decision not to integrate with the federal grid? That would seem to be asking for trouble, if true. Statistically, there's always going to be somewhere in the US NOT needing much power so interconnecting the whole country just seems totally logical.
Just two comments; 1) people DID wear masks during the Spanish Flu, for better or for worse, and they did practice social distancing. 2) The best way to evaluate deaths from Covid is to focus on 'excess deaths'. Statistically, every year, a certain number of people die of all manner of causes. Taken in total, the number is pretty consistent and we can compare that number (all deaths from all causes) for 2020 to the average over the past 10 years.
This page gives a good overview - https://ourworldindata.org/excess-mortality-covid . You can see that England and Spain, for example, had a terrific number of excess deaths in March 2020. Germany and Norway, not so much. There's an 'add country' button which allows you to add the US.
Why would 15-16 year olds be any different? They still attend school, they still have parents, and their absence/disappearance would be noticed. Think about it - 3 kids disappearing per school, per year .... (130,000 K-12 schools in the US; 460,000 kids = 3 per school on average).
https://www.dallasnews.com/news/weather/2021/02/16/north-texas-counties-cities-others-open-warming-shelters-for-residents-without-power/ This is simply saying that shelters are being opened for those who can't stay warm at home - seems perfectly reasonable. Also seems logical that the army would help get people to these shelters. The 'dogs' bit, and the 'choice' bit - I'm not seeing that. Looks like an effort to make more out of it than it deserves.
One suggestion - stop using videos. Video should be reserved for real live footage of actual events (or a movie!). Having to WATCH a video of some dude talking and telling me what to believe is complete horseshit IMO. If some dude has something valuable to tell me, he can write it down and I can read it. If I want to re-read a paragraph, I will; and if I want to speed-read over a paragraph telling me something I know, I will. If I have a question, I will copy / paste that text and ask a question directly citing the words used (best you can do in a vid is refer to the start/stop points, and transcribe a bit for context). I may be at work so unable to listen to vids ... but I can read, as time permits.
I don't know why the 'right' has become so obsessed with producing videos to make arguments; well-written documents are infinitely more compelling (and practical).
I'm a pretty educated guy and have spent a lifetime in technology and I would say every one of your questions is perfectly valid! I do know that you can 'manufacture' digital currency; you can 'mine it' on your computer (very abstract concept but it happens). It's actually hard to do and takes a lot of resources (processing power). But - you can literally dig gold out of the ground, so how does that work? To me, this talk of 'gold backed' is really no less arbitrary than with a digital currency.
Edit to add: Doesn't most gold come from mines in South Africa? In which case, why isn't SA the wealthiest country in the world!?
