You mention McDonald's. It was my first job in 1986. 3.35/hr. I have since worked at a union fertilizer plant for 20 years, as well as several other jobs. It's sad I would probably be making more money if I had just stayed the course and worked my way up at McDonald's. I make 50k/yr in powersports parts sales, while a shift manager at the local McDonald's makes 80k.
The woman is never happy for some reason. (cabal) I've lived the last 4 of those.
My 2020s has a son that won't work and two cats...
Thankfully I did buy and pay off a 1000sq ft house. Not as nice as that '60s house...
If I was rich, I would snap up all the cheap used EV cars. Battery tech will eventually improve and get less expensive as it always has. A future nuclear diamond battery would completely revive these EVs. But right now I would not buy a new EV car or truck.
I'm currently enjoying commuting to work on a Zero Motorcycles SR/S electric motorcycle. I also took a 125 mile round trip to another town. Charged for free at a car dealership while I ate lunch at the steakhouse next door. Gained 34% charge.
Yeah, isn't it Chy-na, as in Ukraine?
I was in NC for the 2017 eclipse. I have an Eclipse of the Dragon T-shirt. Highway 129, aka "The Tail of the Dragon" is an infamous curvy road for motorcycles and sports cars enthusiasts.
We parked on the Blue Ridge Parkway facing west. We watched as the shadow of the moon crossed mountan ridges and finally went over us. All the birds and insects got quiet. The temperature dropped and a rush of cool air came off the mountain behind us. It was something to behold.
I really want to find a good spot to see this next one.
This has worked for me lately:
Remember when Hardee's came out with the SIX DOLLAR BURGER and it was only 3.95? It was touted as a premium restaurant burger...
Now it's actually $6 at Hardees and $10+ for a mediocre burger at a restaurant.
You sound like someone whose never had his/her freedom unjustly taken away.
24 hours in jail without a pillow would serve you well.
