This is a very interesting theory, but I have a few problems with it. I don't believe that his preconditions for "meaningless lives" and "lack of social bonds/isolation" have been met to set off a societal mass formation in the US. Lack of social bonds and a sense of meaningful lives differ across communities, generations and subcultures. (We don't want to use Gen Z as representative of the country.) One would have expected to see the "mass psychosis" subside as the lock downs were lifted and "normal" relationships resumed during the summer of 2020. Instead, the psychosis appeared to solidify. Second, the theory doesn't appear to fit "mass psychosis" events taking place in smaller, more cohesive groups---the Witchcraft Craze in Salem and Nazi Germany during WWII. My final complaint is that the theory is not specific enough to use to de-engineer the mass formation---but it sounds good and uses a nice descriptive concept to say much of society is crazy right now.
So, this is how the funding goes. Each state Health Dept. executed a 5-year Cooperative Agreement with the CDC/HHS for Epidemiology & Surveillance of Emerging/Infectious Diseases. The first year of the contract was 2019. Each subsequent year's contract may have new work plan/funding added, but is considered a "continuation" of the original contract (2019). When COVID response money was given to HHS for surveillance and response, the govt. wanted to get it out fast and dumped the money into the existing Cooperative Agreements. If you follow the link from Ron's original post, there was no activity on this additional funding until summer of '20. The epidemiology cooperative agreements between the CDC & state Health Depts. have been using this type of cyclical funding via Cooperative Agreement since the 1980s.
I don't think you're interpreting this correctly. State health departments contract with the CDC for multi-year cooperative agreements for surveillance/response. The first year of the contract was in 2019---it looks as though HHS used second year of the contract (7/20) to dump COVID money into the contract.
I agree with you, and these are things we need to start openly discussing. But, we probably won't for awhile, because we're stuck in wanting a return to "normal." Normies get their clot shots and we want Trump back, and very few are willing to lift the curtain to do the critical analysis. It's a hard thing to grasp that "normal" will not be returning.
The parents sound pretty casual, given the situation which was outlined by the prosecutor:

Jennifer Crumbley was contacted and subsequently told her son in a text message: "Lol. I'm not mad at you. You have to learn not to get caught," according to the prosecutor.
On Tuesday, a teacher found a note on Ethan's desk and took a photo. It was a drawing of a gun pointing at the words, "The thoughts won't stop. Help me," McDonald said.
There also was a drawing of a bullet, she said, with words above it: "Blood everywhere."
Between the gun and the bullet was a person who appeared to have been shot twice and is bleeding. He also wrote, "My life is useless" and "The world is dead," according to the prosecutor.
The school quickly had a meeting with Ethan and his parents, who were told to get him into counseling within 48 hours, McDonald said.
The Crumbleys failed to ask their son about the gun or check his backpack, McDonald said. The teen returned to class and the shooting subsequently occurred.
"The notion that a parent could read those words and also know that their son had access to a deadly weapon that they gave him is unconscionable — it's criminal," the prosecutor said.
Jennifer Crumbley texted her son after the shooting, saying, "Ethan, don't do it," McDonald said.
James Crumbley called 911 to say that a gun was missing from their home and that Ethan might be the shooter. The gun had been kept in an unlocked drawer in the parents' bedroom, McDonald said.
Ethan accompanied his father for the gun purchase on Nov. 26 and posted photos of the firearm on social media, saying, "Just got my new beauty today," McDonald said.
In a video message to the community Thursday, the head of Oxford Community Schools said the high school looks like a "war zone" and won't be ready for weeks. Superintendent Tim Throne repeatedly complimented students and staff for how they responded to the violence.
He also acknowledged the meeting of Crumbley, the parents and school officials. Throne offered no details but summed it up by saying, "No discipline was warranted."
McDonald was asked about the decision to keep Crumbley in school.
"Of course, he shouldn't have gone back to that classroom. ... I believe that is a universal position. I'm not going to chastise or attack, but yeah," she said.
An acquaintance in her early 70s died in her sleep a day after getting the Moderna. One thing that occurred to me when looking at the HS shooter kid in Michigan. Many shooters seem to show eyes with a ring of white underneath. Traditionally, that's been a physical sign of a highly suggestible person for hypnosis.
Well, that's not surprising. Look at all the "heros" who limit discussion of COVID and vaccines to whether it's a bio-weapon from China. They ignore the issue of people who die, become chronically ill/permanently disabled from the jab. Time to stop supporting them until they deal with what's important.
Interesting. . .I was listening to an interview with RFK Jr., who mentioned that he'd read quite a few manuals from the CIA on techniques to destabilize and sow chaos in smaller countries over the past decades were turned upon us in the scamdemic. He also spoke of how the Event 201 game plan was being closely followed, even though the underlying assumptions (i.e., a pandemic with 30% mortality) were not met, resulting in an appearance of irrational mandates.
