Honestly… used to one of the cleanest, safest, most beautiful countries with a very flat income distribution. Everyone could live a good life. Now, property ownership is only for the ultra wealthy.

You will have fewer freedoms, you can’t afford to buy a house, you can’t access primary healthcare, your food costs will double, you will need to settle in an ethnic enclave because vast swaths of the city don’t speak the official language, jobs are scarce and the average Canadian income is very near the poverty line.
