I don't think people understand: In their rabid desire to see Trump in handcuffs, they don't realize that they are handcuffed to him. (A kind of perverted version of WWG1WGA.) The blustering betrays the quaking of the knees under the table.

Saw a quick blurb this AM that one of the district courts turned down the administration 's request for the release of the grand jury transcripts from Epstein's Florida case in the aughts. That information needs to be compared to whatever was "provided" by SDNY.

The government shoulders a lot of the blame. For instance, did you know that California raised its minimum required coverage in January this year? The minimum is now 30/60/15, whereas it was 15/30/5. Do you know the last time the minimums were changed? 1967. When you could buy a new Ford sedan for about $2100.

You can't get ANYTHING fixed for $2100, especially with all of the tech in the cars now. The damn cameras alone are about $4K. The minimums are going to increase incrementally over the next few years, but so will the premium. But you can't do it all at once. However the state sets the rules. Why did it take 58 years to address it, especially in a state that is so car heavy, like CA?

I remember people carrying the minimum 15-20 years ago and it wasn't considered a wise idea then, but people get focused on the price, which I get, but at one point, the math does not work.

The real thing that would blow this up is if those apartments get built quickly while the rest are stuck in permit hell for the next 5 years.

I think it was Victor Davis Hanson that described it as basically CA's own Stonehenge.

I remember one person pointing out that 'we already have high speed rail - it is called Southwest.'

Was talking with a work colleague of mine. She said the son of one of her friends cannot have children now - his sperm are bent. He is in his 20s

It settles in the organs like ovaries/testes. I would not be surprised if there is ab uptick in not just miscarriages but birth defects in the coming years.

Spitball here and waiting for coffee to kick in so this maybe a little incoherent: is it possible that it is like a witness protection program where you get a new identity? JE of old doesn't exist as he chose to take another path - ending that life. I know that is highly doubtful and JE did horrible things, but ultimately, he had 'a boss'. To piss off the boss would have ended his life anyway so this was the only out to keep breathing.

I was watching an episode of The Chosen after Jesus has called Matthew. Everybody hates Matthew because of his previous line of work. Jesus pairs him up with Simon the Zealot, and everyone is incredulous because at this point, Simon is new and not aware of Matthew's past. Jesus then drops the bomb on Simon in front of everyone, and when things get heated, he cuts it off, telling all of them, "No one here is who they were before." I am not saying Epstein is our Matthew.. But most of us agree we are in a spiritual battle - is it so outside the realm of possibility to win back a major sinner through a strange type of redemption? I think about the Kim guy - his last name escapes me - but he did the prophecy videos and died in 2016. One video was about the brilliance of the plan. It would be pretty brilliant to neutralize one of their major ops and then redeem him.

Not sure I am getting this out right. Like,I said, ☕️ still kicking in.

Q2 earnings report for health insurance will be interesting this month. There are all kinds of trade pieces hinting at claims being up, and someone posted the Centene info a few days ago here.. Stop loss claims are also up 20-30%. (Gee, I wonder why???)

The first time I saw that, I was scrolling past all the boobie pics, and one of the gore images popped up, and I recall thinking,'Wait - WTH was THAT?' People started chiming in 'oh, it's gore-anon'. Few more popped up, and I shut down the thread. I don't even remember the topic, but later, I thought that it was possible there was something in it that they REALLY didn't want anybody to see. The boobie pics and racist crap are so overused that it starts to become noise, but the gore stuff was really unnerving. If that was the case, they succeeded.

I understand what you mean, but if we accept the Earth's population is 9 Billion, 6% is 540,000,000 which is roughly the population of North America. It seems weird but that's an awful lot of people.

I remember reading the Little House books as a kid - I can't remember which book, but there was a scene where balls of lightning come down the stovepipe and are attracted to Ma's knitting needles. IIRC, somehow she tossed them into the stove.

I use apps as little as possible. I find it interesting that there are all kinds of warnings about cyber attacks as it pertains to internet use and websites - which is not to be ignored, but you never hear anything about hacked apps.

Ditto CA. Except they are there all year. Which is why we have so many BS laws - gotta keep the per diem going.

I am with you. I am tired. Very tired. Praying a lot. It is very hard right now. I am trying to remain positive. I just keep getting slammed left and right financially. I can't catch a break.

I see a couple of small business in my area that do just that: dry cleaner, burrito place. Few years ago we went on vacation to a small dude ranch. They told us ahead of time that they would give us a break if we paid by check because they got tired of paying Visa five figures for "convenience ". I gladly brought my checkbook along. But the big corporate places? No.
