This is such a fundamental truth that few Americans understand.

Even if the Bill of Rights did not exist, or was destroyed, subverted, violated, ignored, etc., your rights continue to exist because they are part of you. Your right to free speech, religion, to bear arms, to be secure in your person, papers, and property, etc., all stem from property ownership: you own your mind, your thoughts, your body, your property, etc. It is only when a person violates the rights of others that governments, which are granted privileges by the People, deny rights of the perpetrator. Commit a violent crime? The People have granted the government the privilege to deny you certain rights (and put you into prison).

But, the Bill of Rights still does not "confirm" your rights; rights are enumerated in the Bill of Rights so that the government has (what should be) an easy to understand list of rights which may not be violated (without due process of law).

I don't understand the shade she is catching. I didn't realize she was wearing GOAT on her leotard, but I think she actually is (most Gold medals in women's gymnastics)? Still, not a good look to be boastful especially when you have to sit out for unspecified reasons. But has she said or done anything disrespectful to our country to deserve shade?

I know the verse.

I'm sorry - I haven't read all of the exchanges between you and BigTEXAS, but are you two just arguing semantics? I don't think you are implying that warning people about Communism is bad fruit, but maybe Tex is inferring it? And I don't think Tex is implying fruit can only be good if you also warn people about Communism, but maybe you are inferring that? I'm not accusing. Perhaps I missed a statement by either of you. You don't have to answer, I'm just throwing that out there.

I'm stating the obvious here: Cultural Marxism is a tool that has been and is being used to infect and subvert the Church with ravenous wolves, and Jesus warned us to beware of them, so maybe you two are just "sharpening steel against steel" in your exchanges but I hope neither of you loses sight that our job is to grow the harvest, and keeping the trees healthy is a mandate.

I won't keep you, it looks like your keyboard has already gotten a workout today!

Can you elaborate on what you said?

15 “Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. 16 You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thornbushes or figs from thistles? 17 Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. 19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20 Therefore by their fruits you will know them.

God is in control. His ways are not like our ways, and His plan is what is best for each of us, whether or not we can tell. He loves you and wants you to obey, glorify, and worship Him.

Tyranny can exist with and without representative government, and with or without borders, but you cannot have representative government without borders.

What do you do when megacorps own all of the land and trap you with their AnCap-friendly "private borders"?

I really wish people would date things like this. Temporal context is important.

I made this comment in a similar thread here: https://greatawakening.win/p/12igY9kOxc/which-version-of-the-bible-is-th/

Every translation has its issues but they all spread the gospel which is what you are seeking. The translation debate is not one you need to get into if you're knocking on the door. Don't allow the translation thing to become a hurdle in your faith. Reading through the comments of so many others, I hope my point is clear. There is no slam dunk "this version is best". Don't let it hold you up. Trust in the Lord.

With that said, Michael Heiser is a translation wizard. He has an MA in Ancient History and an MA and PhD in the Hebrew Bible and Semitic Languages. Here's his answer to the "best (English) translation" question:

Personally, I favor the NKJV.

I don't remember if it was IKEA, but I saw some Marxist-embracing organization was cannibalized for essentially the same reason, but with the distinction of having black people (employees I think) create the menu.
