Our HS is about 90% white. Son's girlfriend told me the HS also has the largest LGBT population, this after years of the school being demonized for not being inclusive enough, which couldn't be further from the truth. I totally see now how this shift happened.
Dangerous is the new ultra-MAGA. Mastriano in PA is too dangerous. Cox in MD is too dangerous. The reason they, along with Lake, are dangerous is because people are waking up and listening to them. The people realize they're not only not dangerous, but making a lot of sense. Common sense is dangerous...to the left.
WA-03 still counting. Joe Kent is 1,945 votes behind Jaime Herrera Beautler with approximately 45K votes to count. He has been closing in, and if he prevails that'll be lucky number 7.

When I heard about the new investigation my heart sank, but only briefly. The enemy has been dancing around going after Trump, so the reveals have been incremental. A direct attack on Trump almost seems to warrant a bigger response, which is why my mind went to the FBI and the military.
I am hoping for the same turnaround with Cox and the GOP in MD. In addition to GOP voters he'll need all the independents and disaffected Dems he can get to get within striking distance of Moore. This article about Mastriano gives me hope.
Aside from the obvious "who is Qanon?" I have never seen a more concerted effort here in MD to brush aside Dan Cox's primary victory. Local conservative talk radio won't even bother to learn how to pronounce the Lt. Gov candidate's name or even read about their platform. If Lockdown Larry won't vote for them, then their attitude is we shouldn't give them the time of day. And of course the Dems are proclaiming he's the most dangerous candidate ever.
As far as the NYT and Daily Beast (and others), Trump articles get them clicks, certainly more so than a 5000-word essay on each of the 93 genders. They've never put forth any effort to report honestly before. Why start now?
Do you have a link (archived or otherwise) for this story? I did a Brave search and the only stories coming up were when Buttigieg got Covid earlier this year. As karmic as this story could be, I just wanted to make sure it's accurate before I share. 😊
Both my kids know Biden's a POS. My older one lived through all the cis-male bashing in high school and found his political leanings on his own. He proudly casted his first vote for the America First candidate for governor. Kinzinger is deluded and a self-loathing RINO.
The Democratic Governors Association sent out flyers to REPUBLICAN voters warning us Dan Cox was TOO CONSERVATIVE for Maryland. Hogan and Schultz had to be behind it because this was essentially their argument about Cox; he's too conservative and can't compete in the general. But if they make that argument it sounds like they're eschewing their conservative principles, so have the DGA do it for them. Funny thing was the flyers were actually truthful and sounded like things I would want in a governor. ZOMG, HE'S 100 PERCENT PRO-LIFE! HE'S PRO-2A! HE THINKS 2020 WAS STOLEN FROM TRUMP! The DGA actually did more to help him win than they realize. Maybe that was their plan, but I think many MD Republicans are tired of trying it the moderate way and getting their rights trampled on. If Cox does win in November, this may be a stunt they wished they didn't pull.
The energy today is different, in a good way. Not just the local win last night, but people around me seem energized, like something big is about to happen. I even saw a woman with a WWG1WGA sticker on her car, and that is a rare thing where I live.
As Travis Tritt says, "It's a great day to be alive." ☺️
"Maryland Republican Party got together and committed ritualized mass suicide," top Schulz aide Doug Mayer told The New York Times. "The only thing that was missing was Jim Jones and a cup of Kool-Aid."
He sounds nice.
No, dumbass. Maryland Republicans got together and saved the state from the RINOs who are hellbent on hastening its demise. Maybe you, Schultz, and Hogan should take some time for self-reflection.
Just checked, Newhouse is a good 6K ahead of Culp, so that seat's not looking good. Joe Kent is now within the 1% margin needed for a recount.
