Would love to be there and see a clean, safe Washington D.C. to celebrate our 250th. But I scheduled myself months ago to be at the Mensa Annual Gathering at Fort Worth, Texas July 1-5. But I will still be celebrating our great history with my wife. I have tickets to the Wallbuilders Museum. So far, my wife and I are the only ticket holders, with 23 spaces still available. They have the only known display of ALL the signers of the Declaration of Independence. We will also be going to the Great American Journey Experience. Amazing collection of historical artifacts collected by Glen Beck. It will be very emotional for me to soak in so much of our heritage from the faith of our founders.
He was proposing a convention of states. An amendment can be proposed with a 2/3 vote of the congress, then has to be ratified with 3/4 of the states. The convention of states is the same for an amendment; 2/3 of the states, then 3/4 to ratify. It was intended to be a check against a rogue apeshit congress.....like we have now. Congress failed an attempt to add a balanced budget amendment by one vote. I believe that was the last attempt to add an amendment.
