Excellent commentary. Should be a question on every civics exam.

Not only that, but the owners are going to have to completely remodel them when the illegal immigrants are cleared out. I hope the city has put aside $$ for that.

This is why it's so important to teach history - real history, including what we know about motives and outcomes - to students. If you aren't aware of history, or were taught a perverted, partisan version of history, you are doomed to repeat the lessons learned.

I don't know about you, but these live markets seem to be full of diseased animals/s. Maybe we should shut them down or close any virology labs close to them? Just a thought.

I believe this is true, however I don't believe it guarantees that his appeal will succeed.

The US was founded by and for people "longing to be free". While Americans have always welcomed legal immigrants, Islam's foundational beliefs are entirely incompatible with American foundational beliefs. They don't believe in freedom of religion, and they believe they are completely justified in executing anyone who doesn't convert to Islam. "Peaceful" Islamists are not following the tenants of their own religion. They should not be allowed in this country, period.

How can a government-paid scientist earn $$ from work he did for the government? Anything I ever produced for an employer was owned by that employer. There's a skunk in the woodpile somewhere.

How is someone "ex Cosa Nostra"? I didn't think that was an accepted practice.

President Trump is in good company: our founding fathers were all radicals targeted by the "establishment". Martin Luther King was a radical and was jailed multiple times. I'd be willing to say that anyone who has had a major impact on our world has first been a radical.

Somebody with more artistic talent than I should be creating an onslaught of memes featuring future Gitmo participants and millstones.

That's good. It and others like it can be repurposed for the war cause. We'll call it the Slow Boat to Gitmo.

I would argue with that. It appears it's been very valuable in turning former Trump haters into donors and Trump voters.

Besides, President Trump has one up on him. He's suggested drug tests before the debates. No way can Biden pass a drug test.

They sure should. When I had a portion of a loan forgiven, my 1099 for the amount forgiven came for the next tax filing.

Didn't he have one annually as President? I remember when Biden refused the psych evaluation that it was a lot different than Trump's reaction.
