Yesterday I received a dust storm warning alert for my (small) city. There wasn’t a dust storm anywhere near me.
I saw tests for electronic emergency alert signs on the highway today!
to clarify, Ive never seen this message on the signs before in my life.
My city tests every day now. I don’t know if it’s being home for work now I notice it more or what. I can say here it’s daily EBS alerts on TV.

Yup. The Mrs. and I got an Amber Alert a couple hours ago. Haven’t gotten one of these in over a year.
POTUS wouldn’t communicate using AMBER Alerts; instead, he’ll use the Emergency Alert system. When I went to turn off AMBER Alerts on my iPhone (Settings/Notifications then scroll to the bottom), I noticed that the Emergency Alerts were turned off and turned it on. This is probably a stretch, but what if these out of the blue AMBER Alerts are being sent to make everyone check that their Alerts (AMBER, Emergency and Public Safety) are turned on for when POTUS communicates with us. I know I wouldn’t have checked otherwise.
I am old school, just have a flip phone for emergencies only. Went into settings to check it out and there is actually a "presidential alerts" setting !
Confirmed. My friends in AZ and MN both got an amber alert at the same time last night. Amber alerts are very rare there they said, so EBS is being tested for sure.
