Federal troops, typically not legally armed stateside. National guard are different and can be armed. When I crossed state lines in uniform with our weapons, they had to be locked up in a secured vehicle and guarded, while we used the state troopers approved paths.
I really hope I'm not spreading disinformation, BUT....
I do not believe I've ever seen nor heard of US Military openly carrying arms (I think several of the soldiers you see walking are openly carrying rifles) ON US SOIL, OFF of any Military Base or Installation.
If they were simply transporting the equipment from one base to another, again; I don't think the trucks would have weapons openly mounted.
In short; I do not think anything in this video is normal, nor indicative of a "training exercise"
I think this is the real fucking deal. But I could be wrong...
Not sure who these other folks belonged to, but we would constantly have vehicle mounted weapons on any training exercise and that was in Texas. We would cruise those things all the way up to Vegas on down to the border. We did carry weapons too, the biggest thing is... do they have magazines in the well? One thing I do find interesting though, is the actual truck stop. That does seem off. Especially for a training exercise.
If it were a reserve unit I would not think much of it. If it is active duty at the truck stop.. very interesting as if it were just a training exercise heads would roll. It does certainly seem out of place.
I'm curious I've never seen guns on a truck when I see them out, is this normal or not?
Yep the only time I remember was right after 9/11 at the airport...

Sunday night drill return
Not normal at all. If these APCs were being deployed for riot control they would NOT have the guns mounted.
They wouldn't risk losing a mounted .50 caliber machine gun to an angry mob.
Pardon me, I must have forgotten to establish my credentials before sharing my opinion on what is normal in this kind of situation:
Top kek!
Q told us to "think logically" after all.
Good reply...Made my day...Lol

AFAIK, the last time troops carried rifles in a similar situation would be back in the Vietnam era. Kent State and all that.
I almost mentioned Kent state....yep....

And their timing. I get the training exercise thing, but now? You think they'd be particularly careful if this was just a training exercise.
