His men are like, “Was it a lie? WWG1WGA! And we are still here!!” In movie, to stay a sailor, he first has to take responsibility and resign. The military realizes that only a Captain who would resign is qualified to remain a Captain.
In real life, years ago, our side realized that the CIA would always frame Trump for the deaths of woman who loved him and men in blue who admired him. Trump was two steps ahead of them. White Squall was a movie to motivate Autistic MAGA followers and instill discipline and order into the citizen journalist. But it was also preparing them for the time when Trump would blamed for the death of the woman who loved him and the deaths of service men who admired him.
