To add to my statement. He is doing what should happen in court. Those who bring charges are responsible to prove their case. Defense does not have to do the investigating or provide evidence. Only refute evidence that is used against the defendant.
They could show that the "insurrection" was planned several days before -- by members of ANTIFA.
They could show that Antifa members were arrested.
THAT would show it was not Trump supporters, and therefore that Trump could not and did not incite anything.
They could also show the Capitol police inviting people in.
There are a lot of things they could bring up, but they did not. Now, in Q&A they only have a few minutes to respond to questions. They can't show those things. They missed their opportunity.

They used Scavino's montage about so many people using the word "fight." They had 3 days to listen to the dems present their lies.
They could have EASILY used other videos showing there were peaceful people within the Capitol Building. They could have used videos and police reports showing that Antifa members were involved in violence. They could have shown the video of Antifa/BLM planning for weeks to infilatrate and commit violence.
They could have provided some evidence of the election fraud, since that is the ENTIRE CASE for the other side, claiming it was the reason Trump supporters were willing to engage in violence.
There is a lot they could do, but chose not to.
