Oh for heavens sake. I know I’m going to get a lot of flak for this but the ability for trans women to compete in sports is a civil right. They are legally and medically women. Can you imagine the furore if you forced them to compete in the male arena in a full contract sport for instance? The horror people would feel at seeing a male punching, throwing or tackling a female for instance would not be good aesthetically and may even help normalise domestic violence.

You are very ignorant about biology. Fact is there is a shit ton of difference between men and women aside from external genitalia and reproductive systems.
Men have certain advantages they are born with, it happens in the womb but they don't really kick in until puberty. No amount of estrogen a man takes will remove that advantage, just as no amount of testosterone will gain the full advantage of a biological male (and one of the reasons why you don't see many trans men entering mens sports, unlike trans women vs biological women, they have NO advantage over biological men.)
There is a reason that womens sports are separated from mens. There is a reason that women sports like soccer and hockey have to train against schoolboy teams. Under 15 is the max they can go. Over 15's they basically get run off the field. Under 12's is a little too easy, so generally the under 15 group are the ideal 'level' at which they get a decent game and have a good chance of winning. (Although they do often get humiliated and beaten massively.)
First, their skeletons, and the reason forensic science and archeologists can identify whether a skeleton is male or female (and forensic science can even identify the race of a skeleton but that is another matter you'll close your intellect to)...males have larger skeletons, larger skulls and a lower center of gravity and their bones are much much denser. No matter what someone does to the externals, when they die their skeletons will be identified as what they are biologically. Got that? How does this immutable scientific fact play out in sports?
Pay attention now, men have not only larger skeletons and bone density, they have bigger brains, they also have bigger hearts and far greater lung capacity. This means more oxygenated blood pumped around the body. Men have 60% greater upper body strength and around 20% greater lower body strength. In addition, their muscles are not only bigger, they have more fibers in them.
No amount of testosterone a woman takes can replicate those advantages. But it is 'trans' women who are the issue in sports. No amount of estrogen will remove those advantages from a biological male (and yes trans are still the biology they reject)
Do you remember the New York marathon and how everyone was celebrating the American woman who won? The celebration was because it has been a long time since an American won, it is usually a Kenyan woman. Thing is many on Twitter were astonishingly acting as if she was first over the line. No, she was the first woman over the line, there had been about 23 men who crossed the line before her. Women cannot compete against men, get that through your head.
It is mainly young people who have been brainwashed with this ludicrous belief. You see it in the movies now, women wielding broadswords and fighting men as if they are physically equal. In reality a woman would struggle to lift a broadsword (fencing rapiers are different things entirely) but even if she did her wrists would not be strong enough to maintain the hold for long. She whacks that sword against a males sword and it will barely jolt his arm - he however if he whacks her sword with his it could pull her arm out of the socket if he used his full strength.
As a woman this ridiculous brainwashing pisses me off as a lot of young women are going to discover reality the hard way. It's like women are being treated as children and given psychological participation trophies to pretend they they are a physical match with men. It's embarrassing frankly.
Trans women athletes are not always genuine trans either, they are men who can't make it in mens sports and wouldn't even qualify. But if they claimed they were now women (don't even need to have the op, just take estrogen for a year which merely makes them weaker in comparison to what they were before, but still huge advantage over biological women). Throw a few races, so you don't make it too obvious, and before you know it you'll be getting gold medals and endorsements and celebrated as a strong independent women. Meanwhile biological women are being denied everything they may have worked years for.
I think they should merge sports completely and then reality might smack some of you in the face when you see women simply cannot compete. Again, if you look at female Olympic athletes, their records are comparable to the times run by college boys. But, all their records will now be worthless as trans women surpass them. Maybe trans should have their own sports and compete against each other?
Would you think it fair if 15 year olds competed against 10 year olds? That type of imbalance is essentially what you are advocating with trans competing against biological women. I know this might be tough to accept, but men cannot actually become women, no matter how many hormones they take or surgeries they have. Sex is determined by the chromosomes at birth (either XX or XY). The sooner you accept this as biological fact, the sooner you can move on with your life and find genuine enrichment in pursuits that are meaningful to you. Challenging societal gender role stereotypes is one thing, and if you want to cross dress or act more "feminine" I say go for it, but trying to force society to mold itself around a false belief that you can actually "become the other sex" has got to stop. It's not healthy for anybody, least of all the countless transgender individuals who end up harming themselves when they finally understand that transitioning did not actually solve the core emotional problems they were grappling with all along, and in the meantime they often did irreversible damage to their bodies.

Your own body isn't "wrongfully imprisoning you" by having a gender. Plenty of people feel uncomfortable in their bodies for countless reasons--that is a normal feeling that you are choosing to fetishize into a "movement" so that you can play the victim while lobbying major establishments for social benefits.
I have watched interviews and read forum posts with countless trans individuals who have lived to tell the tale. There are opportunists in the medical establishment who are making a fortune off of these surgeries that leave even the most popular and famous trans stars literally scarred for life both physically and emotionally, and the medical establishment doesn't even know what to do at that point because the damage has already been done. This is a relatively new and trendy phenomenon whose long term effects have yet to be revealed, but the stories I've read about post-op individuals are absolutely heartbreaking.
You are on this forum for a reason. Believe it or not, I genuinely hope that for your own sake, you will revisit some of these beliefs and see the garden path you are being led down while being used as a political pawn. But of course you already know all of this as any young child with eyes does, so I really have to question your motives and intent here.
