Doing that at 10th Mountain was so coincidental. He could have said farewell to the "troops" at any number of other storied divisions. 82nd is closer to DC at Bragg, 3rd ID at Benning, etc.
Remember, if it gets really bad you can drain your hot water heater, there's however many gallons of water in there if needed. (shut it off and let it cool a bit first).
I picked up a water bladder that sits in the tub, if I know water shortage is coming I can fill that up, plus have large water jugs, a gravity filter and plenty of snow and lake water around if needed.
We also have water heaters freeze from the cold. If that so happens (You can pull hot water but you have no cold) you can take a heater and point it at the cold line and hope it de-ices. That's where we here in ND have to occasionally heat them up.
We also have heat tape to keep pipes warm, but not a good idea if it's not cold as fuck almost all the time.
At the very least, pretend to care about people in Texas, actual human beings of all ages who are suffering in the freezing cold because they have no electricity. You sound like such a progressive leftist. Shame on you.
Totally not true, I was born in TX, and have a bunch of family there, I have offered up space in my apartment if they need it, they declined, it's just a studio. Also, if I were a leftist my mamma would have shot me long ago.
That sucks. I saw on the powerout map that southern VA had a lot of power outages. We didn't get shit man. I have been very disappointed throughout this winter again... not that I want the power out but I like getting snow and all im getting is rain and ICE.
Socks. 2 layers. 3 even. A pair of thin socks under a pair of thick is best, much warmer than just the thick ones. If the thin layer gets sweaty, change them for a new pair. Sweaty socks will make you cold. Put fresh ones on before bed.
Layer the rest of your clothes. Layering traps heat between.
You can tack or tape blankets (like those cheap fleece ones) over windows or sliding glass doors.
Central KY here, they shut down UPS Worldport in Louisville tonight due to inclement weather, a first since it opened in 2000 sourceWe were originally supposed to get 4-8 inches of snow, but it's looking more like 3-6 with some sleet mixed it. The Amazon FC I work at shut down at lunch last night (about 10pm) and was shut down again tonight. Looks like we might be getting another round of snow Wed/Thurs?
WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 7 PM THIS EVENING TO 1 PM EST TUESDAY. Heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 7 to 14 inches.
Travel could be very difficult to impossible. Areas of blowing snow along the south shores of Lake Ontario and Lake Erie. The hazardous conditions will impact the Tuesday morning commute. Widespread accumulating snow will create dangerous travel conditions.
No blackouts here in PA. I am not gonna lie my fingers are crossed for one though hoping that means our governor will be arrested, because that jackass deserves it, for his part in the mail in voting and putting positive Covid patients in nursing homes!
Indiana. Havent had this much snow here since I moved here, back in the mid 90s. We have a bit of drifting snow here at our new house.. Drive had 8 inch over weekend, then 10 inch at lunch, 12 inch when I got home from work, looks like it'll be 12-16 inches before work tomorrow.
New post on here by fellow Anon Austin area I believe has rolling blackouts 17 minutes on 17 minutes off. They're experiencing done brutal cold for their area.
Ercot implements rolling blackouts for whole state of TX. Here in Abilene 14.8” of snow and currently 1 degree. Word is possibly no water for up to 4 days.
Sometimes you have to show them. Let nature run its course. Global warming is a false narrative as the winter storms mive accross the country. Wind and solar panels not useful.
I’m in Tennessee, 100 miles west of Nashville, it’s 10 degrees here. Barely an inch of snow after weather channel predicted nearly a foot. I’m very disappointed about the snow.
We don't get snow very often down here. It's a big deal when we do, if it comes at night, you hear people all over the neighborhood kids playing in the little bit of snow, lol. Tomorrow I think we will be in the 40's but sunny (this morning we had thunderstorms) then at night it will be in the 20's.
There are a lot of blackouts here in Oregon due to the ice storm. I know quite a few people/towns that have been without power for 4 days now. Trees everywhere were destroyed, many of them split right in half, or lost limbs, or just fell over. It is absolutely insane.
if everything goes down during the terrible weather it would convince me that military can control the weather.. STORM IS COMING
why did mike pence make a farewell speech to the 10th mountain division right before they left office?
i got my eye on them during these frozen times
The military certainly can control the weather.

I believe it's been banned for use in war, but that doesn't apply to domestic use. Same as tear gas.

Checking in from lone star state, City just announced that our water is in jeopardy. This is crazy!!
Remember, if it gets really bad you can drain your hot water heater, there's however many gallons of water in there if needed. (shut it off and let it cool a bit first).

Good luck.

I’m on a small utility district and the tanks were just emptied. Won’t have water again until electricity can run the pumps.
In Tulsa, OK with 2 degrees and 8 inches of snow. Not normal.
Fill up your tubs!! They announced in NOLA two turbines were down so it could be a huge problem for the city!
I'm in VA and its still pretty damn warm here. Its raining outside.
I'm in FL and I'm running the air conditioner, it was 76 last I checked.
Lucky you. Ice is creeping in around the door. Coldest here I can ever remember. Not enjoying.

Appreciate your response. Thank you.
In VA too. The southern part of VA over a large area got walloped by winter storm Tabatha? and the power was out throughout Saturday through today.
That sucks. I saw on the powerout map that southern VA had a lot of power outages. We didn't get shit man. I have been very disappointed throughout this winter again... not that I want the power out but I like getting snow and all im getting is rain and ICE.
Tabatha? was mostly ice. From Lynchburg westward to Rocky Mount it was one huge ice storm.
Tips:
Wear a hat, even to bed.

Oh shit. I definitely remember reading...
"Blackout necessary"
Or something along those lines. Dig!
TY mag - i swear i never saw 4414 until now and i have had a feeling about the 10th last few months
i saw it live on tv ..i dont know why it wasnt like i was looking or knew about it..its what sparked my curiosity.

Be careful and try to stay warm!
I'm in the south getting unusually cold for us down here, but no snow. Supposed to be 19 tonight.
Right now here in Alabama it's 28 degrees, feel like temp is 19
No blackouts here in PA. I am not gonna lie my fingers are crossed for one though hoping that means our governor will be arrested, because that jackass deserves it, for his part in the mail in voting and putting positive Covid patients in nursing homes!
My power went out last night for about 20 min in Central PA. I got a little rush until i saw the next block was still on.
That's what I'm starting to think. That and blue bloods don't handle the cold well....
Had blackouts yesterday in so cal

Alabama is supposed to be 19 tonight, and if you live down here in the south (and I mean the southern part of the south) 19 degrees is flipping cold!
Right now here it's 28 degrees, feel like temp is 19, with a 10% chance of snow (which we won't get of course).
I know these temps are nothing to some of you that get below freezing temps, but to southerner's it's flipping cold!
I’m in Tennessee, 100 miles west of Nashville, it’s 10 degrees here. Barely an inch of snow after weather channel predicted nearly a foot. I’m very disappointed about the snow.
South of Nashville and it is snow on top of ice. No power outages that I am aware of but it is unusually cold.

Where do I find the power outage maps?
