They lived very well under his leadership...he had installed buried water pipes all over where they had no water access. Basically everything we were told about him was a lie. But he was against central banking, therefore he had to go.
Yes, they had one of the highest GDPs per person in the Arab World.
He was working on projects to bring the desert back to life and tap into the worlds largest aquifer.
The people had very high levels of literacy, freedoms and calorie intake.
Libya was always a progressive African nation top 3 in most areas. The BBC did a great job of character assassination on him, telling us he lived in a tent and his 2 sons bought their Degrees from the LSE.( who knows maybe Soros did as well).
