I have read numerous papers over the last year on the effectiveness of masks. Not a single one put the type of masks most people wear at better than a 20% reduction in transmission. Some were as low as 3%.
In addition, there are numerous papers going back a century that show that the main causes of death in all pandemics is pneumonia (one paper written by Fauci), and that reused cloth masks are the main cause of it.
Guess what the main cause of death is for those with covid-19 (other than auto accidents).
For my age and weight (normal 45 yo) my odds of surviving a covid infection are 99.98%. That’s 1 in 5000. My odds of dying in a car crash in the next two years are about 1 in 5000 and I’m still driving my fucking car. For as scared as everyone is of a 1 in 5000 chance of death I’m shocked how many people are still on the road ;-)
You’d think they’d be walking around in helmets, pads, and fucking bubbles instead of doing something “extremely dangerous” like driving
I'm not interested in a 'better' mask. I'm more interested in a government that would stop playing politics with our minds, our jobs, our children, our economy, our health and our rights. End the farce!
I would love to see an interview with this person along with their research! THIS is the kind of stuff we need more of to counter the Project Mockingbird force that we're up against!

I knew about the powers of charcoal filtration but didn't realize it works well in masks. That said, you're EXACTLY right! The masks are only supposed to work in ONE direction so all these "asymptomatic" carriers (bullshit anyway!) and actual sick people walking around with masks on aren't doing a damn thing to "slow the spread"!
Not just that but masks 'leak' all around. Visible if you exhale cigarette smoke normally.
I think the only mask that works is a gas mask.

And if those masks don't stop the virus from being exhaled, then it can get into people's eyes. Which proves what we've all been saying all along. They don't do anything. And actually, it has harmed people who are elderly and immune compromised because they have a false sense of security that the masks are protecting them, so I'm sure they are taking more risks because they think the masks work. Just horrible.
The smartest man I've even known worked/retired from Sandia Labs in Albuquerque...my once father inlaw. He (or my ex wife) still gets residuals from patents he invented while working there. Tex died in 2003 at 83 yrs old, a blind diabetic since the late 60's... lived with us till the end.
While I’m at the gym, I purposely “crop dust” just to see the reaction from fellow gym goers. Finally got called by an everyday gym rat who asked if I was the one dropping the protein bombs. Unable to see the smile under my mask, I admitted to this heinous crime and politely said “Isn’t it amazing that a mask that is suppose to assist in preventing us from contracting CONVID-19, can’t keep a raunchy smell from penetrating it AFTER it has been filtered through 2 other garments like my underwear and joggers?”
Talk about “eyes wide open” ... Expression was priceless!
That’s highly likely a lie. As an RN I walk into many Covid patients rooms with an N95 and have yet to get the virus. It must be working.
Bet though, if I walked in with 2 simple masks on, I would get it!
Interesting. I was at physical therapy and told the gal helping me that the masks were to me like wearing a Petri dish and that I have a hard time breathing through them. Before I was finished for the day the head therapist came over to make it a point (in a fairly nice way) that I’m out of shape and that the patients who have had heart attacks wear masks where they do their therapy and they do just fine. Sure, I’m am out of shape after two surgeries in six months, hence the therapy. I’m not good at good come backs but I wished I would would have told him that they would probably do better without the masks. By the way, this head therapist wears two masks. I don’t see how ones like him do it.

Known this for a bit, I like the comparison of "keeping a virus out or in with a mask, is like trying to contain a mosquito with a chain link fence".
Next time you see him, ask him to get hands on copies of their studies so we can post them here and everywhere else, too.
