TFW the left starts this you-have-no-power here nonsense over illegals and it ends up being the catalyst of returning power from the federal government to state and local governments where it belongs.
I know the guy who started this entire thing. Crazy to me that a goofy guy like him (I say this with endearment) has taken the left's concept of Sanctuary Cities and used it to attack the thing they hold most sacred.
I know I’ll probably get shit for this, but what does everyone think about some sort of common sense middle ground abortion laws like this:
first trimester abortion is legal
second trimester abortion is legal only for rape/incest
third trimester abortion is illegal
I hate this whole abortion thing but people make mistakes, and I think on a National level this would be broadly accepted. I actually think it makes more sense to be left to the states and think Roe v Wade was the first of a series of ridiculous SCOTUS decisions, but wanted some input on the attitude towards something like the above nationally
Life is LIFE. The way I see it, when there are the what ifs and special cases the lines are blurred. Life begins to lose its value.
Mistakes - when a person makes a mistake their actions have consequences. People should not take an easy way out because of a mistake. People need to accept the outcome of their actions. If a woman is not ready to be a mother they can proceed with adoption.
Rape - This is a terrible crime and I can not fathom the pain that comes with it. I am sure many feel it is torture to have a woman endure 9 months with child after this crime. But the baby is life. You would actually be surprised how high the percentage is of woman going through with the pregnancy and keeping the child. If a woman does not want the child I still believe they should go through with the pregnancy and I am sure there are many programs to help them along they way and they can proceed with adoption.
I think I agree to some extent, but only over the age of majority (18 in USA). At that point you are responsible for your decisions and should practice safe sex or abstain. Younger than that, for example 2 high school kids have sex, idk if it’s immoral to protect their future and allow the abortion. At 14 years old you don’t have a full understanding of consequences and your future. Same reason I don’t think under 18 should get transgender surgery. After 18 it’s your choice but you have to live with the consequences of your decision
The problem i see with this viewpoint is that there are massive consequences, psychologically and spiritually, from ending a pregnancy. If a minor can't be mature enough to keep the baby then they're surely not mature enough to end its life.
Two friends who admit to having one when they were younger both said it was the biggest regret of their lives and are now more traumatized about it than when they had them. They now feel such awful shame and guilt over it.
I object to the govt having any legal say over what a sovereign citizen chooses to do to his/her own body, but once there is another life involved it becomes difficult to justify termination on any grounds.
I think if a woman is raped or cannot provide for a child, she should be matched up with a couple who wish to adopt, who can help her out and pay for any prenatal care.
You're missing the point. It's all about God! If people put God First at Everything, all this crap you say falls away. It's Not about going to church, it's about oneself that's best friends with the Lord. God's not telling you to have sex outside of marriage. He is against that. God isn't telling you to change your sex, cause God doesn't Make Mistakes. Instead of teaching people how to change themselves, we should be teaching people to, Love themselves because God loves them just the way they are.
These cruel perps took Roe V Wade and 40 odd years later, 62 million dead babies with around than ?% actual rape or incest victims-I think of all the truncated time lines where 2nd gen births didn't happen, nearly doubling the actual number removed from life. The horror....the horror... and only God knows the names of the lost... :'(
I'm mostly on board for this.
I truly don't know how I feel about abortion for a "mistake" but I also know that it's not anything approaching a person before 3 months.
I think abortion should be available in cases of rape, incest, and a grievous danger to the mother( depriving children of their mother, a mother of her life, and a spouse of their wife > baby IMO) and I'm not sure I'd ban 3rd trimester at all because that puts an arbitrary limit on life(and sanity) saving measures.
But what you've said is, essentially, what I'd like to see
There is evidence that aborted babies are sold. The more developed they are the higher the profit. The founder of plan parenthood was racist and specifically targeted black women to get abortions. No Q does not specifically talk about abortions but everything is connected and if you box yourself in you will be blind to many realities in our country
Thank you. That is more about planned parenthood and how corrupt they are. Certainly the two are enmeshed but for such a hot button topic, q really discussed it sparingly
I disagree, I'll share why and leave it at that. I am obviously prolife based on my previous comments. I personally believe abortion is not okay but I am not going to judge of condem anyone for having an abortion.
I agree with you that it is a hot topic. There are many who strongly stand on both sides for and against it. There are also many that stand in the middle. It is a topic that can lead to negativity and fighting.
Just because Q did not discuss this topic in several posts does not mean it's an invaluable topic or a topic not to be discussed or avoided. There is no reason for Q to drag out this topic because pointing it out once is enough to point out people should look into it. Q wants people to research and find answers for themselves. People need to have discussions together. Different veiws, opinions, and ideas if discussed in a civil manner can lead to unity, change, and respect for one another. I do not expect you to agree with me. I just wanted to share why I disagree.
From post 4542
"For the first time, the United States has in you a President who courageously defends the right to life, who is not ashamed to denounce the persecution of Christians throughout the world, who speaks of Jesus Christ and the right of citizens to freedom of worship. Your participation in the March for Life, and more recently your proclamation of the month of April as National Child Abuse Prevention Month, are actions that confirm which side you wish to fight on. And I dare to believe that both of us are on the same side in this battle, albeit with different weapons."
Prolife seems to align with Qs movement in saving the children. Same battle different weapons.
Most of us are Christians and Q has references the Bible a lot so it goes hand in hand. Most of us are conservatives regardless, but every individual is capable of free thought that we can debate.

I love that picture on the tweet!
That’s one way to get the human trafficking out of your state. They can’t sell them if they are all pregnant.
I mean, it's said that they have breeding woman in tunnels popping babies with no birth certificate so they can't be traced.
I've read that there are layers beneath the Epstein temple dedicated to that.

Idealistic? Sure. But we gotta have a goal.

Close your legs... that’s the solution. People don’t have to have sex.

Which city?
*got it - Carbon City
Amen-praying for more brave and courageous cities and states to STAND UP and FIGHT for what is RIGHT
I don’t see what this has to do with q at all. Post it on TDW

While certainly of interest to many people following q, I don’t think abortion is an on topic subject for this forum.
Q post 3405. Look it up

What is “like opposition?”
It’s not. I don’t think q has ever once mentioned abortion

Also, I post this tongue in cheek
