Ha!
Is someone seriously pressing those? That's fantastic!
Silver is silver is silver... forget about numismatic value. Press it how ya like!
Silly; There are great values in the Silver Coin market; as desirable coins are worth more as junk silver. Fancy 90% as I like to refer these gems. .999 bargains are there, too. Harder to find. Coins Rise with silver, some cushion if silver softens. Remember boys and girls you have been programmed to follow the herd. Many finds off the well-beaten trails. DO have fun with the silver adventure. Cheers...
I have a question if you don’t mind. I bought roughly $2k of physical silver and silver shares with IRA. These are the ones I bought with my IRA: SLV, PSLV, and SLVP. Should I keep all of these to hedge my bet or is one better than the others?
Paper is paper.
Silver is silver.
If you want to hedge your bet ditch paper and hold physical.
Got it, thx!
Just to offer more info, you can buy silver and keep it in your ira (I don’t entirely know the process but it’s possible).
Ideally you don’t want a piece a paper that says your entitled to xyz because when shit hits the fan, no one is honoring paper.
Totally agree. I’m thinking I’ll wait a little bit and sell when it starts to squeeze.
Amen! Good advice. ✋?
Looks like a Disme.com product. I have a few different ones as well. I like the detail and the 1oz silver. Congrats.
I love Disme! I have three sets of the complete silver collection. So fun to collect. Their designers are amazing.
It's prob one of the best I've seen though. I think portraits are tough. I love that they have a Q coin.
I know!! But it's historical. He's not on the newer ones.

Just received my silver today in the mail!

Now it's time for the next coin, then the next coin after that... then a 10 oz. bar, and later another two 10 oz. bars, then more bars...
That's my goal!
I'm into old Swiss Silver coins. I do buy them on the melt value, but there are a lot of them that are colecctionables. Switzerland stopped to use Silver in 1967. Coins from 1/2 Francs, 1 Fr. 2 Fr. and 5 Fr. before '67 where all at least 875 Silver, the older ones up to 900 Silver. My way to look at it = the smaller the value, the easier it is to barter in a emergency situation. For ex. nobody will want to accept your 1 Kilo Bar, if you want to buy some groceries.
Myself and the wife have been out past couple weeks looking for silver in antique stores, I guess the memo has got out sterling silver is almost nonexistant, but have been buying alot of plated silver finding some real good deals. If anyone is interested in refining silver/gold check out Sreetips on utube.
If anything, look for quadruple plated flatware-I can tell you all the silverplate I have seen/handled has minuscule amounts of silver that would necessitate having a ton of it to get one ounce. Look for war years nickles @ 40% and 65-69 Kennedy halves @ 40% rather than silverplate.
Where did you get it?
Disme. :)
PSA for new silver collectors: never clean your silver, and don’t get your finger prints on it. Cleaning silver coins will eliminate their premium value and make them only worth melt value.
These are in plastic cases. I'm not taking them out. They're in our gun safe.
I have quite a few used coins and some are nearly uncirced-but I figure silver coinage will bounce way up when silver melt price becomes unmanipulated. therefore, the lesser quality coins exchanged for gold back dollars and then if usable, halves and Morgans for purchases...
Ship to Australia????
Congrats!
Nice coin! What does the reverse look like?
Forgot to take a photo of it before I put it away. Disme should still have some.
Nice, Hoping silver drops lower. Gold is sinking from what I can tell.
Hahah, that is so dope!
I would expect nothing less from someone in the running for "Cleverest Nickname on a Terrorist Conspiracy Forum 2021".
My father-in-law was in banking. He left my husband a sheet of uncut $1.00 bills. There are about 16 of them I believe. He has them in the cardboard black frame from when they were shipped to his father. Would there be any value to them other than face value? He also left him silver coin sets encased in plastic. LOL Those are in his sock drawer!
Is that the 5 oz one?
1 oz....
Nice!
Noice
That’s so cool!

That is awesome
Just bought a couple.
I also got the Conan dog coin. My son gets it when I'm gone.
And not a second earlier! I ordered some standard silver coins to have, not for collector's items as much as just to have a bit of hard currency.
I will probably look into that more.

The 1 oz coins are called rounds.
"Junk silver" are coins that contain 35-90ish % silver and are priced accordingly to the amount of silver they contain usually. Great for smaller denominations. They are legit coins but have been in use as currency so they lose collector value.
They also sell fractional amounts priced more or less accordingly of pure silver so you can get like 1/10oz coins for smaller transactions and things like that.
It's cool to look into when you have a chance. The link I provided basically let's you filter by what you're looking for and shows you what different minters and exchanges are chargimg for the same type of product.
