They are softer than what I'm used to, I got the 2nd most firm and I do wish I had gotten the most firm but I'm a bit too lazy to try to exchange it as most of the time I sleep just fine anyway. Mine needs to be fluffed into shape every night to my liking but it's so easy to fluff it unlike other pillows that once they form into a shape good luck "resetting" it.
