Wait till people start finding out how much lumber has gone up. Thinking about building a new home any one? Might think again when a 2x4 could cost as much as $10 or more for a single board.
The price of a pressure treated 2x4x8' was a little over 2 bucks around December 2019 here. Same lumber yard a week ago for the same 2x4x8' pressure treated boards was 10 bucks. Prices crept up through 2020 to 3, 4, 5 bucks now it seems they are spiking hard. Could be location, could be a supply chain issue but I know I'm not alone so just a heads up.
This may not be the main cause and it's not something I've looked at very closely but I heard from someone here in Australia that their family business (lumber export) was suffering because of the trade issues between Australia and China. The same thing is happening with a range of goods.
Makes sense. I am in the north east of the USA. Loads of trees here but of course no one wants any timber logging or forestry here. Most of the lumber I see at the yards here is stamped Canada. I know the border has been closed for us common folk, I wouldn't think they close it for trade as well.
You're right you called me out - I rounded down. I'm in the northern part of NY. The prices were in the range of $2.25 and $2.50 with bulk discount in late 2019.
Yeah I had a talk with someone who works construction and they talked about this, so not only will I need a re-quote on some work I was considering but I might not even be able to afford it anymore.
They have to take us to the precipice. We are still a long way off from that yet. Only when normies are on their knees begging for help will they accept a 2nd Trump term.
If he really includes real property value as income you wont have a house or food.either way this tax and shutting down the energy sector is going to collapse the economy.
Wish me luck guys. I don't know if I can afford it, and I don't know if my employer can afford it either. I'm a courier and I go over 400 miles a day, roughly 14 gallons of gas a day for them, and they're a small business
I was already awake can I please pay the old price?
Lol, takes me nearly $130 to fill up my 2500

Wait what?
My dad was thinking about building a home too...

I wonder if that's one of the main factors.

Good to know thanks
Didn't antifa burn all the forests down in Oregon?
No idea but you could be right.
Where the hell were you getting 8' board of PT lumber for $2? Come on, man

Sadly, I kind of agree. It may end up like that.
My dad said today “supposedly we’re middle class”
...yep

No, I don't believe it will.

I am going to do more walking.
Lets hope the normies wake up soon.
The tax hike is only on those making $400k+.
It will not wake anyone up.
It will however hurt the economy but their voters will still fall for the “it’s all Trump’s fault” line
Your so cute.
Oh but wait they clarified that, it's $400k per family or $200k per individual if single.
find proof that trump said that faggot
