We didn't either for the most part. JiuJitsu has saved my life during this time. A place that stayed open and when you walk through the doors you forget all this bs going on.
No availability of common appliances without months of waiting
No availability of common necessities: Lysol, rubbing alcohol, toilet paper, paper towels etc. for a long time
COMMIES WANT US LIVING IN A 3RD WORLD COMMUNIST COUNTRY, STRESSED AND FEARFUL AND ANXIIOUS FOR THEM TO PLEASE "LET US" RETURN TO NORMAL LIVING...OH, WE CAN GO OUT TO EAT BUT WE HAVE TO WEAR A MASK AND SIT INSIDE PLASTIC BOXES?? OH OK, THANK YOU, GREAT OVERLORDS!!"
OH THANK YOU DADDY FOR GIVING ME THE BREAD CRUMBS IN A $1400 CHECK! THANK YOU FOR GIVING ME BACK SOME OF THE TABLE SCRAPS YOU STOLE FROM ME! OH, I CAN GO OUTSIDE? THANK YOU DADDY! HOW MANY MASKS SHOULD I WEAR? WHAT'S THAT? YOU WANT TO EASE THE PRESSURE FROM THE BOOT ON MY NECK? OH HOW GENEROUS OF YOU!
Same - we decided fuck it - and came to Florida for the week. I haven’t felt free in over a year. The sun combined with not wearing masks in most places has truly been a blessing for my entire families mental health. We have two days left and I plan on enjoying every minute of it.
I'm so glad you were able to experience it and are feeling the restorative effects. I live in FL and have felt so fortunate to be here throughout this.
The first weeks we were locked down, we would go for daily walks as a family after the 4 of us teleworking all day. We would see sooo many families out walking - 5 times the normal - and usually I see just one person walking (not in a family group.) We live in a rural area with everyone owning large lots and everyone was out getting sun and exercise and (I think) talking through their anxiety of being in a "pandemic" for the first time in their lives.
Later, I would go to Disney World (have a pass to use up - yes, I know they were evil - hopefully they can earn redemption by doing the right things moving forward) just to get out. I would marvel at all the people from other states who were brave enough to travel and enjoy Florida entertainment despite what they were being told. The fact that Disney stayed open and increased the percentage of the people in the parks, despite liberal Orange County policies, told me that there was no data about super-spreading events. Plus, Ron DeSantis had a lot of power to override the liberal county government officials overseeing the theme parks to get them open.
One day I got out of the rain in Hollywood Studios by ducking into the museum about Walt Disney. I would move around the exhibits and found myself staring at pictures of him, wondering how he became the man that allowed all the evil to infiltrate our lives. I loved the Disney movies growing up, had many Disney story books, soundtracks, and passed that love on to my daughters.
One is now working for Disneyland, made it through the furloughs, and is helping plan now for the re-opening. I've warned her she will find out bad things soon (she's too busy and stressed to mentally handle it all now.) I know a lot here hate Disney and won't spend money ever again on them, but remember those like my daughter who were taught to love it, and have their dream job or at least employment there now. Anaheim is decimated right now. These are real people suffering. I hope we can demand Disney confess the evil, make real amends, and enable people to enjoy the magic at the parks again. We as a family have countless great memories at Disney World.
I hope so about Walt. But I've had people who have researched DIsney tell me that he definitely was involved. And yes, it crept into the movies from those who had an agenda.
I didn't know about the homelessness in Anaheim. My daughter is working really long hours so I'd better check in with her.
I'm betting when Ric Grenell becomes governor this summer that he'll fix things real quick!
Thinking about Anaheim. We visited her in 2018 and of course went to the parks, and I found it odd that an area right around a successful Disney park was so run down. That was a mostly middle-class, conservative area for decades (my FIL used to live in Orange in the 50s.) Plus, I went there often in the 80s/early 90s when I was stationed in CA, and I don't remember seeing it so run down then? What f*ckery did the elites do to prevent that area from also enjoying in the park's success?
I know the plan was to drive down expensive real estate prices in cities so the corporations could buy them up. I'm guessing Disney may have had some master plan to expand with the prices so low? They were pretty boxed in there.
Hideous. I hope things turn around for you this year, patriot
I went to a public library yesterday here in famously free Florida.
They literally kicked me out and called the cops.
Big neckbeard kid at the door after calling the cops kept saying "I'll take you outside." Smiling, I said "Yeah right, Softie—you work at the library. You touch me, and I'll sue the soy out of you. Go step outside by yourself. I told you people I have a medical condition that precludes wearing the mask. You're librarians, presumably you can READ the actual mandate, where it says people like me are not required to wear a mask on public property."
They held firm like good little commie tools, but I definitely got the attention of every single patron in the building. Because the personnel were rudely speaking over me, I had to raise my voice to finish making my inarguable point. The citizens now know they can have a voice, should they choose to use it.
As I calmly strolled out, Softie cried, "The police are on the way!" I turned and remarked with a [visible] grin, "Oh now you LOVE the police and don't want them defunded. You hypocrites. Like you, the police work for the citizens—not the other way around. Read up!"
I have not seem my daughter and s-i-l for 15 months now - they are all the family I have. Probably won't see them this year if travel / quarantine restrictions remain. Its been brutal.
Lonely and cruel is how the elites want all of us peons' lives to be.
Keep us tied to jobs ten hours a day that pay too little to have any kind of life, and too exhausted to do anything that looks like resisting global totalitarian control. Keep us angry and upset and on the brink of insanity with the constant deliberate contradictions and hypocrisy and crazy rules and gaslighting.
But wait! Everyone now needs to wear not one but TWO masks!!
And, TWO meters of paranoid avoidance of your fellow humans is too close, but we'll "let" you get away with it.
And the party of "science" would like you to know your masks and vaccine still can't protect you! You still need to angrily and resentfully demand that every human on earth cover their own face against their will, jeopardizing their own mental and physical health, to protect YOUR precious life...from the virus with the 99.5+% survival rate.
Hospitals, nursing homes and other facilities that restrict relatives from seeing loved ones should be brought up on criminal charges. I can’t think of anything more sad and cruel than letting moms and dads left to expire alone.
My good friend lost her MIL to cancer last month. They made the whole family watch the lonely woman die through a video screen from the next fucking room. ? Her hubby is so broken from this. Could not tear his eyes away from the screen. This is a crime against humanity.
You are right. On the bright side for me: daughter says last night “uncle Eli is getting nicer to me”
Hubby: “he’s always been nice. You were just an ass and he disciplined you. That shows more love than you realize”
I love the dads in my family.
Had a Women’s Bible study with no masks. It was sooo nice to see everyone’s faces again—I wanted to cry. So beautiful. You know why? Read 2 Corinthians 3:16-18
“But whenever anyone turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away. 17 Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. 18 And we all, who with unveiled faces reflect the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.”
I had my baby shower in my hometown a few weeks ago. Yes, I flew at 8 months pregnant and had a gathering of about 20 people ranging in age from 2 weeks old to 85 years old. Nobody wore masks. We laughed, hugged, ate, drank took photos, and had a wonderful time. A year ago, I would sadly have skipped out on all of that, but I wasn’t about to let the lying government ruin my special day. [Spoiler alert: We are all still very much alive and well]
It seems rudimentarily but I have seen a post recently where someone looks to have accidentally done that here (not appearance but showed their e-mail and name on a document). Not everyone is as careful with the Internet as they should be.
It's strange as a trucker. One state no masks is common, drive 6 hours total lock down. Went to buy a new gps, the gal tells me face masks are mandatory. I asked her if she had to say that or if she truly wanted me to wear one. (I would have left) She said I have to say that. So I just moved on with my questions. Never put it on.
I've always been kind of a reclusive person and I stay to myself and my close family. What I've been missing a lot is on Saturday's, going to the thrift store and taking my kids to the park. Going shopping- it's strange I would always be in such a good mood when I was grocery shopping. Just talking to people in the aisles, the cashier. Most of all I miss my job working with kids. Bringing them to the playground, playing tag or kickball, the conversations, all of it. I miss it a lot.
Great, OP!
We're hosting my Dad's 83rd birthday luncheon on Sunday. The only family not attending are my leftist niece and her husband. They're still in lockdown. Sad thing is the husband is a doctor.

They do not want us talking to each other. Knowledge is power so they want us slaves ignorant but it's not working
No talking
No touching
No handshaking, hugging, kissing, dancing, loving
No smiling
No praying
No cheering at sporting events
No recognizing others
No ability to open many businesses
No work for millions of citizens
No availability of common appliances without months of waiting
No availability of common necessities: Lysol, rubbing alcohol, toilet paper, paper towels etc. for a long time

Now go back home and refuse the control muzzle. Try it!
I live in Maine - probably the most press I’ve mask mandate state
I have a disability and had to shit my business down because of it.

Nobody needs to wear a mask, it's harmful and doesn't block viruses; and one meter of physical distance is fine (WHO proclamation, Apr. 6, 2020). Check it at https://apps.who.int/iris/bitstream/handle/10665/331693/WHO-2019-nCov-IPC_Masks-2020.3-eng.pdf?sequence=1&isAllowed=y

Because SCIENCE!!
Bless you. Thankfully I have a lovely dog and nice neighbours to chat to. By God's grace we will get through this.

If she were on her deathbed, what would be the harm of letting family in the same room. Covid-flu wouldn't be a factor at that point.
agreed 100%. they were traumatized an so was she i bet
Dad:
"I'll tell you exactly once: Quit climbin' on this table to reach for things, or you're done here til breakfast. Your move, sport."
“Gimme the salt!”
“I’m not done with it yet...” as big brother tortures younger brother, withholding something he wants...LOL.
? sounds like every family.
Sadly, not these days. Parenting is seen as optional.

Though I live behind enemy/enema lines, my defiant sleepy little village gave Newsolini the big F.U. and ignored the lockdown guidance:

This is the reason for covid. Keep people apart and not talking.
We've NEVER stopped
Social distancing is a CIA technique designed to mentally beak down prisoners. One of the most evil “remedies “ in this whole thing.

SUPERSPREADER ALERT!!!! SUPERSPREADER ALERT!!!!
Now cue a piercing scream a la "Invasion of the Body Snatchers".
This is not your family though: https://everythreeweekly.com/2017/09/family-dinner-not-considered-over-until-everyones-finished-someone-has-cried/
Of course it’s not. I’m not stupid enough to post my own kids online. Image search result, keyword family.
I was just thinking: Hope you didn't dox yourself

Lmfao! I don't know who you are, but you found my tickle spot. This is rich!
Wait until you find out WHY we sing hymns at church, and what they took away from us there.

I'm so excited, they just announced that karaoke is back at our favorite bar starting tomorrow! I'm SO READY to see my friends and sing again!
We had a family get-together in early January and we all got Covid. I was sick for 17 days. I had it worse than anybody else lucky me.
