Tatum crushes it. Playing dumb, quibbling with the cops with their guns drawn, trying to pull rank. Lt needed to get an Art15 for that BS before he gets someone in his command killed. If I'd have tried it, I never would have seen O2.
Not to mention that in the moment there is no way to verify your identity as a service member. You're just as likely to be a mule wearing OCPs from Cabelas and carrying 50kgs of coke in your limo-tinted truck
No doubt that those policemen were clueless as to what they were up against. They had already established how to proceed investigating an unidentifiable vehicle with an unknown number of occupants and an insubordinate driver. And, as a Veteran, it's no surprise that ButterBar would demand some kind of respect, as the ones that earn it move up quickly...
This is why when I was in, I had little to no respect for most of the Officer Corps. The patch on your chest just gives you "authority" you have to earn the respect.
I feel STRONGLY this entire video and MSM social media push is another fabricated narrative pusher. Wouldn't be surprised if it was completely scripted with crisis actors!
Some clues to this is the remarkably clear footage of driver in a newly purchased vehicle? Does anyone REALLY need to, so conveniently, record themselves during traffic stops or any other time for that matter? And many more questions.
I hate to be the voice of reason here but the Lieutenant was wrong here. Period.
-He didn’t pull over for quite a while until he got to a well lit gas station. Fine, especially if it’s abs unmarked car.
a second marked car was called in and joined the stop
he was asked several times to just turn off the engine and disembark the vehicle- he refused
he had no visible rear plate
when they approached the car they then again asked him several times to get out... he stated he was active military...
the officer was also a veteran
He was being a non compliant asshole— in my opinions
So just like all cops are not assholes all service members are not hero’s- period
How about get out of your car when asked too, how about comply with orders? I've had cops draw down on me once before and I complied, I went home that night.
You be transparent with the officer and explain that you need to take your seat belt off to exit the vehicle. You keep one hand visible and slowly disengage your seat belt, but only if the officer said it was ok to do it. It also helps to be non combative with your interactions with police, so if you do need to reach inside you vehicle they don't feel threatened or possible hostility towards them. If you do all that and still get shot then the officer needs to be arrested for murder/attempted murder.
Gonna take a contrarian position here and just say IDGAF.
Both sides are wrong.
The one silver lining in all of it is that young lieutenant was handed a big fat redpill. I hope he doesn't think he was treated unfairly because of his race, instead chooses to change his shitty self-entitled attitude and see it for what it is- a fucked-up system that hates its citizens and uses police as a tool for intimidation and punishment.
Cop was fucked up but that stupid lieutenant did not comyvuntil he had a face full of pepper spray. Also, why does that idiot have a beards patch on his chin. I'm thinking its just some black asshole pretending to be in the military. Otherwise he is a dlob and out of uniform.

Bingo.

They were just doing their job on a FELONY stop. No plate? Not following commands? FUCK THAT BUTTER BAR!!!
Except there was a plate. But besides that I guess you're right?
Since when does the ARMY let men wear a beard in uniform?

If your hands are out the window while complying with an order and you put them back in the car what will the cop do?
Too many cops shouting orders at once creates the confusion and the scenario for them to use force.

Can you do that while they are at the back of the vehicle, weapons drawn and literally yelling orders at you?
I saw the fella in this video trying to remain calm for the very reasons you explain. Yet many say he was combative or had a bad attitude.
Am I the only one who thought that whole thing looked like it was scripted and acted out?

Agreed both were wrong the army guy was the wronged and more of an activist than mitary officer. He is a loser.
