I know they rig the algorithm for mega jackpots. The system makes a selection to runup the jackpot to record numbers. Lest say for the next (x) lotteries the system will not pick any chosen numbers but will then pick the winner after this (x) number. This is how I understood it when they were discussing how these mega lotteries happen. But yes I was thinking what if they were just moving the money around for the staes that were in trouble. I know Illinois is desperate for cash. They resort to Iou's sometimes. So now, its definitely possible. Remember the Monopoly McDonald's scandal. McDonald's made hundreds of millions in sales. They didn't care if the contest was rigged. They made bank. It was memory holed real quick.

A friend, now deceased, was a math wiz. As a past time with nothing to do he tracked the Ill LOTTO. he found that it was amazing how many times multiple people would win REPEATABLY, NOT the big prizes but the "little" prizes like 100 K, 50 K etc etc. So YEAH, they use it as a payoff mechanism.

I had a friend that worked with a guy as mechanics at a Mercedes dealer that won the Florida state lottery twice and almost the same exact amount- around 10 million each time. The winner and his wife played on the same date at the same place the following year and the main reason they went there was to just remember where they won it the first time.

I'd call that serious luck winning 2 times on the same date and place. I've never won more than a 150 bucks playing lotto. Mercedes came up short a mechanic instantly.

Yes, every time I play the (french) Loto or Euromillions, even with a 5 weeks subscription, my gains are exactly 0 euros. I do recall when it was rumored the Epstein or someone tied to his NM ranch had won a lottery years ago. And I’ve always been skeptical of the “checks and balances” they supposedly have in place to keep the perception of honesty and integrity for the lotteries. As someone who works in Hollywood whenever film, video, computers or photography is an aspect of the end result - the “live” sleight of hand illusion that can alter what you see is very, very easy to implement.
