If you can't hold it in your hand, it's not worth anything of true value when the whole bubble bursts.
Doge is a title us d by th V netian Noble class, aka, the Black Nobility, of which Elon is a member. It's not a coincidence that this crypto is named DogeCoin or that Elon Musk peddles it.
I notice they're in the "play this down" stage of strategy. They're acting like everything is fine. This isn't a problem. Next stage is the hysterical stage. I can't wait for that.
Wasn't Doge Coin started as a joke?
It's just hype. It came from nothing, is backed by nothing and produces nothing.
Buying Doge Coin is just gambling. People should understand this.
While I'm no fan of the Federal Reserve, we do have global reserve currency status and a standing army to protect US interest. I don't think there will be wars over Doggy Coin.
The "you don't buy crypto because you don't understand the technology" is getting tiresome. If you cannot explain how your money works to my first grader or my grandmother, then it's not money now is it?
But yes physical assets that represent a real, tangible store of value is a good bet.
Buying Doge is not fighting the deep state. Who do you think the major holders are? Deep state is pumping it hard. The media would avoid it like the plague if it was truly fighting the deep state. Instead, they give Elon SNL during their big push. I think the DS is hurting and they are currently fund raising. And that money will come from average people when they decide to crash it.
It's almost like the high price of BTC and ETH make it psychologically inaccessible ("I can't even afford one."). So instead of saving up for a fine champagne-grade coin like BTC or ETH, or buying a 'sip' of one through a fractional share, people buy the "malt liquor" coins and enjoying them just as much.
I don't see this as a problem. I love waking up and seeing all the crypto up every morning and more and more people around me owning it. I thought DOGE coin would be the first coin to die but this resurrection story is a joy to watch.
You're probably right. Gold and silver have been real, tangible money for thousands of years. I just wonder if what can be created with a few key strokes on the keyboard can also be destroyed with a few key strokes.
That's my point exactly. Crypto can't even be used in industrial applications as gold and silver can. I'm still going to buy some, but it's a gamble like everything else financial nowadays. And sometimes the ground from which the rocks are dug out of can be worth something.
Someone in a different thread mentioned ripple. - the whole watch the water thing. What's a good way to buy these crypto - robin hood? I've no idea where to even begin with this research.
Gold and silver, yes. Crypto, no.

Besides, can you even buy anything with it?

Mankind has started wars and slaughtered each other over less.

NewportBeach is correct. The house always wins. Always.
In fact, we don't even know who created Bitcoin. As far as we know, it was created by NSA or CIA.

Or are they blocking sales to prevent it from crashing prematurely?
I'm not following.

Isn't Doge another SiaCoin?
That coin got pumped then crashed

What happened to Monero?
It's not top 10 coin anymore.
What do you think of the coin Neo?
Kinda like tulips when Holland was younger.
