So glad I visited France in 2011. I didn't see anything like this back then, it really was a different place. Sure there were migrants, but there weren't tent cities for them on the main streets of Paris, or churches being burnt to the ground every month.
I really kick myself for not having traveled in my late teens/20s (late 90s to 2010) before everything went to hell. I just naively assumed I could travel later when I had more means etc. not realizing what the plans for the great reset were.
Paris, London, Rome, even Sweden and the nordic countries....I have absolutely zero interest in going now because they are full of muslim migrants and filthier than ever. I mean the Eiffel Tower has bulletproof glass around it now.
How can anyone unvaxxed travel through Europe? I know there's lots of great culture and history, etc. But now there's a lot of unrest, the potential for bombs from Muslim terrorists, riots in the street. So, the picture post card Europe is a bit different today. My advice is keep your money in the U.S, Lots of nice towns in America. Drop a few bucks in each that you see. The small businesses are struggling to survive so give them your business.
Personally with gas prices going up and a rumored shortage coming up, we might need to stay closer to home than we want but in this time of uncertainty, I'd rather be home.
Yeah back in 2011 you were allowed to walk beneath the Eiffel Tower, walk all around it, go up top, etc. I remember we waited beneath it for it to light up and sparkle, and when it did it was mesmerizing, so beautiful. I'm not even sure if they do that anymore.
Sometimes I regret spending my entire military career assigned to the West Coast and deploying to only Pacific Fleet AOs because alot of my friends have great sea stories about European cities, the Mediterranean etc, where mine are all limited to Japan, Korea, Hong Kong, Singapore, the Philippines, Thailand, Australia... ;)
Trinity Alps Fren?? Weaverville my second home, started going up there as a 4yo in ‘68. Sad about Weaverville becoming a pot and meth head town when it used to be a true old western town. Stuart’s Fork trailhead up to Emerald lake and beyond, God’s country!
I was fortunate enough to travel Europe right after I graduated high school in 2010. Visited London, Paris, Venice, Montreux, Innsbruck, and Rottenburg.
Actually didn't care much for Paris, ironically enough.
you shpuld still go europe is fucking awesome and they keep any kind of street people out of the streets its not like here no bums for the most part which is amazing. architecture is incredible. food and wine. hell just walking around the place is worth it
I've been twice back in 06 and 12. Damn, I still remember after the backpacking trip in 2005 and saying "Paris is my favorite city." It was such a great time. It was still great in 2011-12 but by the looks of it now it is so sad. I would never go back. Sadly we can say the same about a lot of cities here in the States and a lot of other big cities in Western countries. This has been a planned attack from Day 1.
It always surprised me how migrants of "Islamic" faith were being immigrated into majority Christian/Catholic nations. It just doesn't make any fucking sense. Not to mention the fact that many of them cross over/through majority "Muslims/Islamic" nations. The people of Europe should outright overthrow their leaders and hold them accountable. This is not an economic or racial issue. This is your way of life.
Here in Southern states of US it is mainly Hispanic migrants who are being used by cartels and overall trying to find better way of life. Most of them are Catholic so the religious tension isn't an issue but the crime and poverty is a huge problem. We have vets and our own citizens homeless all over each big city yet politicians and local leaders trying to pump immigration.
They do this to destabilize and cause tension as well as get the votes and money laundering. If people come together and understand this one day it will be glorious. We have all been played. From USA to Europe to Aussie to Iran to China.
How about we agree to disagree on this petty social bullshit and call out our leaders on both sides first!
I visited London in 2014 and I’m so glad I did. I will never go back. It’s nothing like it was then, I had an incredible time and met great people in the hostel I stayed in. Europe and the UK are irreparably damaged. The only fix is a bloody one.

Doubt it, there's a gigantic glass wall around the base specifically to prevent terrorist attacks.

Did you get to see the Sequoias? Yosemite? The Trinity Alps? Poppies blooming in the desert? Bet they didn't.
