Praying that those who conspired to overthrow our country are brought to justice for High Treason against America, i.e., are tried, convicted, and given life/death penalty.
I can't remember if Andrew Torba is supposed to be based or not. I thought I heard that he may be a fake... Reason I'm saying this is because the link took me to Gab. I'm on Gab and I like it. Just wondering...
Torba is a weird mix of contradictions from what I've seen, but for the most part he's honest about the handful of things he leans a little left on. View him like a "classical liberal". He believes in REAL freedom of speech.
The only time I've ever seen anyone banned on Gab that seemed even a little unfair was a handful(like 2-6) of hard core anti-Zionist full retard 1488 fucking idiots got banned from Gab based on some pretty shaky reasons. If I'm being honest I think Torba just got sick and tired of them handing the MSM ammunition to use to destroy his website. Honestly... I agreed with him at the time. These were the exception not the rule. These guys were posting stuff that just didn't need to be posted. They were the guy in the town square that stands on a box and just screams fuck over and over because technically they can.
Of all the sites out there right now the only two that appear to TRULY support free speech I'd say Gab is the top of the list followed by Minds. The rest fall WAY behind. Parler is just right wing Twitter. They just aren't big enough to be able to afford to ban people yet. Give it a few years and Parler will be banning anyone on the FAR right or most leftists. Parler is run/controlled/manipulated by people that I would call right wing elitists. Its not about freedom and MAGA. Its about controlling info and narratives just like Twitter, but right wing narratives.
Even if I'm somehow wrong in my impression of Parler's politics the people running it are blooming idiots. What sort of lunatic builds a right wing/free speech website using cloud services controlled by ultra leftist Google? I'm a computer guy. 20+ years of unix/web/networking experience. Trust me Parler is still at this very moment vulnerable as hell. Big Tech will hit them again soon. The only thing that might stop that is Q/arrests.
Gab has been through a meat grinder and come out the other side stronger. It is a true free speech zone and the only reason I'm not on there daily is because I don't have time.
You know how I know Gab is the place to be??? Bongino, Tucker, Hannity etc... NONE of them will even say the name Gab. Its forbidden for them to even talk about it because if they do it will draw attention to it. I dare you to find anyone other than OAN that even mentions Gab... ever. Yet they talked endlessly about Parler when google took it down just like they did Gab months/years prior. Why? Because Parler is "approved" by the right wing powers that be. Our overlords in the right wing of the uni-party know they can manipulate Parler if push comes to shove.
They can't control Torba. He does whatever the hell he wants. Which from what I've seen 99.998% of the time is fiercely support free speech.
Owe and Torba freaking chats with people on his site... like he's a shitposter and stuff. Zuck and Jack are just creepy name dropping elitist snobs 99% of the time.
Wait till I start my site. The left will probibly try to have me killed... Soon(tm).
Agree with most of what you said. Can't say much about Torba as I, like you, have an account and just lurks around there from time to time.
You mentioned Gab as one of the free speech platforms, Minds being the 2nd on the list. I would like to also recommend 4chan/8kun. I know it has the bad stuff but you still can find the good stuff there. They don't even really ban a lot of stuff, just CP as far as I can think of. I don't frequent 4chan often but when big events happen like the elections, Israel-Palestine, Las Vegas (and any other shooting events), I go there because they usually find stuff that isn't available elsewhere.
You mentioned that Google took Parler down. Was that actually Amazon? Parler was using Amazon's AWS service so Amazon took them off completely? Or am I mistaken?
Yeah don't trust Parler at all. It got to be a honeypot at this point now and being run by the glowies, waiting to trap idiots for spilling shit they shouldn't be.
You are correct. It was Amazon that took down Parler. Those Bit Tech dip-shits all blend together at this point.
As far as 4chan/8chan go no offense but I'm OLD SCHOOL. I was on IRC before the term internet was even invented by Al Gore(rolls eyes). 1989 UUCP via SCO Xenix on a 14.4 bps modem. Back then it was PeachNet here in GA. So when I say I've been on some weird platforms I've seen it all... BBS, MUDS, IRC, etc...
4chan and 8chan are just a confusing mess. You can't tell who's even talking to who. I'm sure there is some trick to it no one bothered to tell me and I didn't go looking even though as a unix admin there is literally no obstacle I couldn't overcome if I wanted to. If I can't use it casually with my skills no normie will ever use it... thus its useless. Well except for the autists who do use it, but calling it a free speech platform is misnaming it. More like a free speech back room that only special people can get in to.
Gab started out a little wonkey on their interface but they improved greatly, and have proven they listen to their users. They are improving the video side of things too. Pretty soon they will be able to replace FB, Twitter, and YT... and they are free speech oriented... why do we need those other sites again?
I'm old school as well. I'm in IT, however I'm unemployed (still haven't started on my first career job) and hell yeah, I was on IRC a lot. BBS too. Didn't get around to do MUDS as I didn't know it existed until I got into college. AOL was awesome back then until it went into the shitter.
My first computer was an Amiga lol. I'm currently running Fedora 33 on my computer and have been using Linux for about 10 years now. Got tired and bored of using Windows and I wanted to push myself further.
Yeah 4chan was confusing at first until I installed the "4chan X" extension. It helps you track the comments and such. Give it another try with the 4chan X extension, and it may be a better experience for you but I do agree, it's confusing for any normie to follow.
Also yeah I agree they do have their weird standards that everyone have to follow and if you don't, you get shamed as a "newfag" or a "summerfag". I don't really participate and like I said, I'm just there to find any new info not found anywhere else.
Gab is off to a slow start and surely they will get to where FakeBook/Twatter are at now. I do wish Torba well and lots of luck because I'm sure he's under constant attacks from the DS.
Heh. Yeah, I got into Slackware and FreeBSD in the mid 90s. I was a channel warrior on EFnet for quite some time. I never did the AOL thing. I guess that's because by the time AOL was big I was all in on EFnet.
See that newfag thing was something I ran into. The people on 4/8chan are incredibly unfriendly. They can babble all they like about you have to be tougher etc but with the way they treat people plus how confusing it is I'm shocked it has as many people as it does. I agree they dig up a lot of good info, but they don't seem to understand that how they behave slows down the spread of that info. Sort of defeats the point if you asked me.
For me, I started out with AOL then eventually I found out about IRC (forgot how I found out but somehow I transited from AOL to IRC) and used it since. Had AOL because it was "pre-Fakebook" and my IRL friends were on it and not on IRC. lol
I'm sure you've done way more than I have as I was still "wet-behind-the-ear" with IRC, despite learning my way around it with IRC commands and all. I almost never know which channel to go in so I just find one of the randos from the list then enter. Boring? leave. Weird? leave. I almost never find a channel I can stay for a long time. I was also trying out different servers like DalNet, EFnet, Freenode, ircnet (I think this one is the default one cuz I used mIRC and it was almost always trying to connect me to ircnet?) and some more I forgot... wow. Brings back memories and maybe I'll give it another try.
For me, the Internet back then was glorious and I was learning a shit ton of stuff until they bottled it down in the mid 2000's and on.
Yeah, I left IRC in 2000. Long story. I've only been back once for like just a few hours looking for an old friend. Its not like it used to be. When I was there in the late 90s EFnet was a literal war zone. It was the wild wild west. IRC on any network now is nothing like EFnet used to be. You can't take over channels. Unlike you I had places I called home. 90% of my friends were online. I met my wife(now X) on IRC.
When I left IRC I started playing MMOs. Asherons Call, Star Wars Galaxies, World of Warcraft, then EVE Online. I quit all of it because it was just taking up too much time.
Darwyn, I think might know you from Eris lol. This obviously isn't my nickname there, or elsewhere. But if yours is close to what it is here, we've met.
Regardless you guys are making me happy talking about all this stupid shit afterive had an absolute ball breaking day.
This is actually my real name. I gave up on using an anonymous handle online. Its far to easy to track people down. I used to do it all the time. I would tell you my nickname on EFnet but I try not to write the two in the same place. I guess you could say I was a white-hat channel hacker and a lot of very bad people would love nothing ore than to hurt me. Its been 20 years but there are a handful of people that if they could find me IRL I really believe they would show up at my house and try to harm me. Although sometimes I'm not sure why I care any more.
EFnet used to be Dodge City back in the day. I was there for Pepsi and puke and smurf etc. I used to have all the tools of the trade even made a few of my own with help from friends. The only person I really miss is my old pal Dianora. Hehe. I'm not sure if she hated me or loved me but she was always fun.
You should look into it. You can read all Torba has posted and make your own judgments instead of just asking what other people think. Critically thinking, and doing tournown research is what the Great Awakening is all about .....
Praying that those who conspired to overthrow our country are brought to justice for High Treason against America, i.e., are tried, convicted, and given life/death penalty.
Amen!

CORRECTION - Amazon took down Parler not Google.

Anyway hope your day gets better.
Google and apple removed Parler from their respective app stores, and then Amazon banned them from using their servers.
Ah the app... yes that too.
4chan is nothing like it was. Idk how I feel about it anymore after they started logging and added captchas
Yeah oldfags were bitching about that as well, saying 4chan is now compromised and a honeypot.
Great analysis and my experience is effectively aligned.
I have a gab account, but really just lurk.
Minds has alot of potential, but I swear a majority of users are bots there.

I just tweeted it. Let’s see what happens ?
Is it nuked yet lol
So far still up and running ? Also tweeted MTG. recent house slammer.
Hell yeah lol. I'm shocked it made it this long tbh
This needs to be a feature length documentary
