They lied when they said they were doing regular patrols every 15 minutes. And for embarrassing their prison, dereliction of duty, and screwing around instead of watching the #1 most important incarcerated felon in America; their punishment was a single scoop of ice cream for dessert
If the cameras weren't working, how would anybody find out?
The guards said they were on duty, they logged in their record that they were making patrols, as required. That duty log is considered sworn evidence.
However, video of the break-room shows them sleeping in there, watching TV, and shopping online for furniture. All you need to do is read the article.
They say nothing at all about the murder of Epstein, allowing others access to cell, destroying video evidence in the cameras, as well as as the backups. All they say, is that they were NOT doing the job they stated that they did. That's it.

I bet these dudes have already squealed, hence the deal and the announcement of the deal. IMO, this is a message for the DS. Edit: Another possibility is that these dudes where instructed by white hats on what to put on the records so they are not being punished for going along with the good guys.
I don't get it. We've known since pretty much the beginning that they lied about doing rounds, how they were online instead etc. Are there NEW confessions of falsified records?
