While I agree the swab being stuck deep in your nasal cavity is bullshit and not necessary. Ethylene Oxide gas is commonly used to sterilize medical device products. I worked for a medical device manufacturer and everything we produced was sent out for this sterilization process before it was shipped to the hospitals for use. The sterilization process uses gas, heat, pressure, and time to kill any germs on the device including the packaging. This cycle is closely monitored and tests are completed to ensure residual gas is below specific levels.
So it's one of those things where they have to mention EO on the label even if its present in trace amounts?
Yes, it is a statement of how it has been sterilized. There are a couple of ways to sterilize products and EO gas is very common. Lookup a company call Sterigenics. It's the company we used for our devices.

I think if the test is too convenient, people would lose incentive to taking the vaccine. They must make the tests as inconvenient and uncomfortable as possible. It’s all about pushing people to the vaccine

Because you can get better collection in the nasopharyngeal area. If you do the nostrils, you have mucus and that fucks up the PCR test as interfering substance.
I still think the only possible way to "Get COVID" exists on the ends of these swabs. Hence the deep dive tests being so prevalent/"required" earlier in during the scamdemic.
Just my thought - no way to prove it. But the only* people I know (3 people) who got severe symptoms after having mild/no symptoms, developed these serious side effects within 24-48 hours of being "swabbed".

I have only been tested for covid once, with the nasal swab. I then had some sort of throat/nasal infection for the next week after
Personally I think the swaps are also delivering a drug. I have no proof of that
I have an op at the start of july and they want to do this nose test before I can have it a few days before.
I really dont want to. My thinking is i want to make sure i have this op before it becomes mandatory in NHS take get vaxxed before they will treat you. I'd rather submit to a nose test than be forced into getting a vax or not having this.
There is also currently no blood test capable of identifying the presence of the virus....
