True but Noem started to chicken out on some things like the trannies forcing their way into women's sports while DeSantis has been picking up momentum after his late start.
It is also tougher to take a stand like DeSantis in a much more heavily populated state that is famous for how bad the deep state infiltration is. It's the big leagues.
Nobody has done more to push back against the lockdown/mask/passport B.S. than DeSantis/Florida. No.Bod.E.
Sturgis notwithstanding, does anyone actually LIVE in S.D.? Any fireworks over Rushmore next week? Didn't think so...why would a sovereign State/Governor feel the need to ask Xiping Joe for permission, anyway? Pretty difficult to follow where no one is actually leading.
Absolutely wrong to say that nobody has done more to push back than DeSantis. Noem pushed back for a full year and became a speaker at CPAC where she spoke about the ridicule she faced. DeSantis who agreed to lockdowns and masks ended up taking all the credit. That's bullshit.
As I mentioned already I live in SD. And yes it's horse shit that Kristi kissed ring and bent over for Joe but this thread isn't about who's the more liberty minded governor, now is it? Because that goes to DeSantis all day. In fact, in debate terminology this would be called a "strawman fallacy". This thread is about who did more to fight back against the Covidiots and lockdown Nazis, and that's Kristi all day.
Shit, I can't stand Kristi on almost every issue (weed, the fireworks, the trans sports thing) but she knocked it out of the park with her COVID response. To the point where I actually thanked God that I was in the one state in the country that was not forcing draconian measures. So, yes... in summation, she is far from perfect but it's absurd to let someone else do the work and take the ridicule and then swoop in and jump on the train when everyone else is doing it.
And this is coming from a guy who has said for the past year that DeSantis is the best governor in the country. But I call bullshit when I see it. And I don't care how much I love the guy, I'm not going to sit back, ignore history and pretend that DeSantis did more to fight back against COVID than Kristi.
In defense of Florida, there was a far broader perceived threat from COVID than in other states, and more people were considered essential workers than in any other state that had partial lockdowns. The thing that really pissed me off was the border crossing guards- if you traveled to a high COVID state, you were quarantined for 2 weeks. Thankfully we were traveling from Georgia. Florida never went whole hog as some other states which had just as many cases did, but there were some things that could have been done to take a more liberty minded approach. (BTW, I might well disagree with you on the 'trans sports thing - but science {especially the science of hormones, such as testosterone, I believe would back me up} -Give them their own competition, with the same prizes. I agree with Martina Navratilova on this: https://www.espn.com/tennis/story/_/id/30827339/martina-navratilova-seeks-provision-joe-biden-executive-order-transgender-participation-sports
I have difficulty trusting people who tell me what I have to believe. If it were true, I could see it with my own eyes.
Matthew 7:16-20
16 You will recognize them by their fruits. Are grapes gathered from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? 17 So, every healthy tree bears good fruit, but the diseased tree bears bad fruit. 18 A healthy tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a diseased tree bear good fruit. 19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20 Thus you will recognize them by their fruits.
Yeah 100%! I always really liked DeSantis but this remark puzzles me. It's so obviously not true.
I remember seeing article after article talking about how SD was the only state that did not lock down and how it was Kristi's decision. Here is one from the Guardian, which is over in England, talking about how SD was the only outlier.
We faced a lot of ridicule but it turns out we were right. A lot of states followed our example and started removing their restrictions at the end of 2020, Florida being one of them.
We should all be keeping an eye on him, regardless.
And if Lin Wood says it, Im leaning towards his opinion. His track record of calling out the DS against the mainstream narrative was solid with Mike Pence. It takes balls to stand up against the sleeping mob in America - especially in your own party.
Florida is also a destination location. Not that the Dakotas aren't, but not as much. Florida has more spotlight and for them to not give a shit probably counted more.
Correct. Abbott is a RINO in sheep’s clothing and can feel the primary breathing down his neck.
He has ruled our legislative branch with an iron fist (directing who gets to author bills and which ones will be passed), all the while believing he has a real shot at running for President in 2024.
He completely screwed us during the COVID and Snowmageddon moments.
NOW he wants to “finish the wall”? And he wants US to crowd-source fund it to the tune of $250m? Hmmm. Yet he spent $285m on
outsourcing “contact tracing”….?
Man I love DeSantis but this statement is b.s.
SD, my state, had the least restrictions in the country and did so the entire time.
If anyone led the way it was South Dakota

Very true. I don't blame him at all I'm just saying his statement was a bit of an exaggeration
Fair point! Noem is a flaky pain in the ass half the time, I don't know how to feel about her. But her pandemic response was based af.
DeSantis is ten times the governor Kristi is, and this is the first thing he's said that I disagreed with.
Excellent, fren. I believe the whole state is a 2A sanctuary. No red flag laws either

Thanks for coming to my TED Talk.
Thank you for your TED talk! We appreciated it.

Right it's like trying to rewrite history lol
Yes ..it appears Fox is propping up Desantis hard . I’m going to keep eyes open ..Lin’s post was awakening ..we must be careful

What are you referring to exactly?
My apologies, Desantis is telling us that we have to believe they are leading the fight, while your state has been actually doing it the whole time.
Ah, gotcha!

Love the scripture btw, God bless
God bless!
I never click a Fox News link. They betrayed this country on Election night. Never forget; never forgive!
They’ve been betraying this country since long before election night.
Best governor in the union right now!
possible snake in my book.

Correct 100 percent !

SNAKE
Also from Canada, I'm happy to hear this. We're not Australia yet, but that's not a huge jump from where we are.
We all know it sure as hell wasn't the Texas Governor. He stripped our freedoms the second he was given the opportunity.
Fuck masks Fuck social distancing Fuck forced business closures. And covid crisis actors
But DOUBLE TRIPLE FUCK VACCINES.

Nicely timed.....
Any other questions Lin...? ?
WWG1WGA
He is correct
Abbot sold our Texans and stripped our rights away the second he was given the opportunity. He's a lame duck at this point.
Dig around here on Abbot. He's not the savior he paints himself to be.
Or heck, just as u/TXBeeLady (I think thats her name). Shes usually on the Abbot posts.

Thats our gal!

LOL. I’m just a feisty 5th-generation Texan that wants her country back (as well as the USA)!
William Travis did not say, “Well, look! The landscapers have arrived!” during the invasion of 1836.
