there has been a lot of small rumblings through many of the volcano's with very active magma flow for last couple months, not big enough to be considered earthquake though, same for yellowstone area (though it is having small, recordable earthquakes), has a cluster in the lake there just last few days.
I don't know if any of that could affect the snow pack at the top.

Mt. Rainier is usually thickly and completely covered with snow, from the very tip to the bottom, even in the summer. Late August it will show some rock on the 2 sides (this is from the Ashford perspective). I'll say "The Mountain is wearing it's short sleeve shirt."
This year we had extreme June temperatures. We usually have rain and mild temperatures (60-70) but this year we had record breaking high temp weather for weeks. It was August weather in June! Weeks of 90+ with a weekend of off the charts temps (up to 112 where I was at). I heard it was in the 60's on the mountain (not sure if that meant the summit). That temp will melt snow, for sure. I've never seen the mountain as bare as it is, it's an incredible sight. I'm not a geologist, but I'm guessing the part you do see with snow are the glaciers, which take longer to melt.
The Nisqually River is hopping and Alder Lake is higher than I've ever seen. There have been years you could walk around the Nisqually and Alder beds in Elbe but not this year.
I know the PTSB (powers that shouldn't be) are blaming global warming but I seriously think Weather Modification is in full swing.

My. Hood has always had warm spots. Doesn't Ranier? I know both of them are crumbly and safer to climb when frozen. Rainer is overdue for one of it mudslide events that will solve all of Seattle's problems. No, I'm really not into the flat earth, especially after flying around it. The volcanoes "disappeared" by gradually going extinct and moving inland and south. Then they became regular mountains, and meanwhile the upheaval going on with the tectonic plates along the ocean created new volcanoes.

Hasn't there been excess rain and flooding in the Northwest like in many parts of the world? Whether engineered or not, wouldn't this extract a great deal of moisture from the atmosphere. Moisture that normally gets released as snow in higher elevations. Mt Rainer may be bare because the snow feel as rain elsewhere.
No, the Northwest has been unbelievably hot and dry. Not typical. Meanwhile, the Midwest has been getting flooded out. Had over a foot of rain here in SE Michigan over the course of 3 weeks, very very weird.
