No. Prefer vanced over newpipe. Last I looked you can't use accounts with newpipe. Also vanced uses youtube red api, I don't think newpipe does but not sure.
I use them both since newpipe is better for downloading stuff than vanced. although I don't log into youtube so maybe vanced is a better/easier download experience when logged in...
I was literally asking because I was hoping it hid our activity. Cuz the bad guys know a lot about us just by what we watch. Youtube knows me better than any person in my life, probably. It would be nice if the app hid our IP from them, or something.

Vanced let's you still listen even with the phone screen on locked. On browser, it has to be open and playing front and center.
There is an option to keep the audio playing in the background.

This app does hide your history because its not tied to your account. Personally I prefer Youtube Vanced though.
Also if you're concerned about internet tracking, I would recommend getting a VPN. Personally I use Private Internet Access.
